  1.   What on earth are you doing?
  2. It looks like a half-arsed job if you ask me. Interior has series 2 seats, but original light tweed panels, doesn't look good together. It has a 99 spec front end, but no Z badge, maybe lost in the smash? ;) That would also explain the 99 front bumper, sine you can't get a new 90 spec bumper ;) They didn't bother to finish the job and put 99 spec back lights on it. Engine could be standard for all he knows, everything else is lol.
  3. I suppose you could just fit one, and leave the stock re-circ on the other. Don't see a problem with that to be honest.
  4. Do you have a picture of your bovs? Then we'll know what you need. Also, does your car still have it's stock Recirc valves? The re-circ valves are pretty much just bovs, but instead of sending the boost out to atmosphere (and making a cool noise) they feed back into a hose, which eventually goes back into the intake system.
  5. Not quite seeing the problem here, maybe I'm missing something. Just remove the stock re-circs, put the bovs in place, attached the vacuum lines, and plug-up the places the return hoses would normally go. I used the rubber bungs you get at the bottom of old ladders, lol, but you'd find something similar at the end of brush handles etc. D.
  6.   :rofl:____:rofl: :rofl:____:rofl:
  7. Wow, that totally freaked me out  Need a cup of tea now. Amazing work though, just a bit, ummm, weird, lol.
  8. Damn it, that's it, we're definately getting a dog this year, lol. We vowed not to get another after our last dog died prematurely, but once a dog lover, always a dog lover. Would love a Doberman, or a Border collie, but I hear they tend to round up children, lol, hmmmm, could be quite handy then, in a totally non pedophile way of course, I was reffing to my own kids, oh just shoot me now, lol.
  9. I used the chrome paint from B&Q, the one with the chrome lid. So far so good. No bubbling or flaking. PMSL, can't believe you also forgot to clean the projector bulbs, what a couple of tw@ts we are, :D Will be doing another set soon, for my blue car. Everyone seems to like the result when they see it in the flesh. Oh, and well done by the way, lets see them on the car :D
  10. I'm not quite famous yet, but I do charge ten quid to sign my artwork, and people actually pay....sometimes, lol. I met Jimmy Saville once, he said "out the way".... fooker :( Oh Oh, and I did a custom drawing fro Frank Bruno a few years ago, handed it to him at one of those dodgy private fight night things they have in hotels. Really weird experience, if ya know what I mean ;)
  11. I bought a set of the older style Jaero's for my wife's RX7, probably from that company, same sort of price. Wheels look excellent, but we've only had them on the car for about six months, and despite cleaning them every other day, with next to no dirt build-up, they have started to corode :( Really pissed off actually. I spend a LOT of time keeping our cars clean, especially the wheels. So be warned, bargains are not always bargains. Dave.
  12. You shouldn't really have to check it every day, that's going to spoil your enjoyment :( Once a week should be fine, same with the oil, but not if you're having problems I suppose. I hate giving my car away to other people to work on. God knows what they've bodged, and don't even mention how they test drive it. That's a generic statement by the way, not slagging off the garage you are using. Sounds like a job for "The Zed Team!" :D I'll have a tech-day soon if you want to come along and me n Steve can poke and prod, might even have a look at the car, Boom Boom! :D
  13. Should change your name to Zerocoolantdel ;) Car is worth fixing. I was feeling down with mine for a while, but back in love again :)
  14. Seems to be quite a few folk interested in the same parts. If you decide to split the car, I would ask quite a lot for the parts, and see who offers closest, kind of bidding in reverse. Just because someone puts "dibs" on things, doesn't mean you have any obligation to sell ;-) I hate that whole dibs thing. Bet these guys have special "dibs" program set up on their PC to detect possible bargains ;)
  15. Are you complimenting his ringpiece???
  16. Hello everyone. My name's David, and I'm a Dave
  17. Jap import all the way. I am currently breaking a UK Zed, and a lot of the parts I have removed are completely useless due to rust. My Jap Zed is only a wee bit younger, but I just mot'd it today and the tester was astonished at it's condition. It's a shame, it's not the car's fault, it's that damn salt grit we use in this country that's killing them

If it's got rear wheel drive, Steve will drift it ;) He managed to get an MX5 to drift FFS! and they are specifically created to have perfect 50/50 weight balance for cornering efficiancy, lol. Nah, main thing is to get rid of the Hicas, then we're talkin. D.

  20. I'm torn between feeling depressed at the low value, and overjoyed at the thought of being able to buy half a dozen of them for the price of a new Mondy, lol. Resale value never enters my head when buying a car (just as well, lol). I think if you worry about that all the time you will ruin your ownership enjoyment of a car. It can be a positive when cars like ours go down in value. More people are prepared to buy them, almost as disposable toys, and with this increase in ownership comes extra parts availability. With an increase in parts options comes business competativeness, so more options, higher quality and eventually, cheaper parts ;) Just got my car mot'd today, passed with flying colours, absolutely nothing to advise me on. So chuffed. So took the long way home and ragged the tits out of it (because it always feels "safe" after an mot lol) What were we talking about again?
  21. I'm a smoker, and I enjoy going outside to smoke, it feels MUCH Healthier, I'd like to stop, but not for health or money reasons. Just so I can spend more quaility time with my kids, without having to constantly hide from them, or not take them places because I want to smoke in my car. I stopped for two years, and it was an absolute nightmare. Then one year me and my wife were on holiday and got bored, so we bought a ten pack of menthol (healthy fags ;-) ) and that was it, I was hooked again :smash: I know I smoke mostly out of habit, and I know how smelly it is, but as any ex-smoker knows, stopping is a bitch. I don't think the smoking ban is an infringement, I think it's definately justified. It's disgusting and un-healthy, but I love it :slap:
  22. This almost justifies a list  So here we go... Paul Mark Me (Dave) Ed Karl Kkydd Zerocooldel BigMarty Dansky Flikz Plus possible non forum members: Daz Davey Steve This must be some sort of record for Scotland surely :D
  23. Quick update... Zed is fixed! Power steering pump was fecked, but luckily I had a spare ;-) Everything going well now. D.
  24. Well Steve and I had a good drive home in the Zed :D Had a look at some of the broken bits when we got home. We reckon the replacement PS pump is also goosed, so we'll try another one today. Apart from that, the car drives beatifully, Steve is WELL happy. I'll get him signed up here soon. Dave.
