  1. I would be cautious with buying these wheels. I got a set of Jaero wheels less than a year ago for my wife's RX7, and they have corroded really badly. She spent yesterday rubbing them down with wet n dry to try and get the shine back. The car has been cared for and the wheels washed regularly, but it didn't seem to matter. Something to think about. D.
  2. Ditto above, looks like what I have sitting outside. D.
  3. When I first seen this kit I thought the exact same, about the two side mounts stuck together, however... It not a bad idea. My front mount has two horizontal cores, so the boost is passing by each other on their way to the opposite sides of the engine. If this kit is merely two side mounts, at least they are a lot bigger, and depending on front bumper choice, should allow more airflow. We'll find out when we fit Paul's. D.
  4. Thanks guys. It REALLY is a pain in the arse to do it this way, but hopefully worth it, and saves a few hundred quid. Here's what happens when you don't monitor the oven process though, lol.
  5. I had originally modded my back lights with the clear diffuser stuff, but after "test driving" Paul's 99 spec lights, I decided to do them properly this time.... If you seperate them completely, rather than just pulling them half apart to get the orange strip out, you can remove the grey plastic section. I used some of that chrome paint from B&Q (same paint I used for my headlights), which is pretty close to the 99 spec effect. For the black lines, Paul gave me a section of plain black Vinyl. To cut the strips, I taped together two small stanley knifes, with about a 2.5 mill gap. Then I just ran the blades down the vinyl several times to give me my strips, all ready just to apply to the inside of the clear plastic. To measure where they go, I got an A3 sheet of paper, and pressed it on the inside of the clear section, which indented the shape. I measure the gap, top to bottom, which luckily was exactly 45 mm. So the lines would be placed 15mm apart. I just dotted the 15mm increments all along the paper, then taped it to the outside of the lamp, allowing me to see where to put the strips on the inside. Unfortunately I destroyed one of the lamps in the oven, lol, but I had a few spares, thank god. So here it is. DIY 99 spec rear lights, version 2....
  6. WOW!, I'm so jelous. I should maybe arrange all my tools on the garage floor to see if looks nearly as impressive as that. Doubt it though. Tool box looks ace. Costa fortune?
  7. Thanks. Pint of Optimax would be better ;)
  8. Do I have to beg?
  9. I still don't have access to my PM's. I paid when asked, so is there some other problem? Dave.
  10. Well you've all forgotten the most stunning vampire to ever grace our screens, on Buffy and Angel. She was the first character to appear on Buffy. She is of course........ Darla........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  11. Hellooooo, anyone there?
  12. Ahem....... Any mods noticed this? I can't access my PM's Dave.
  13. Just renewed my subs via paypal. Has it been a year already :( Dave.
  14. Never really got the "naked slag in front of a car" thing. And can't really see the point of this thread, since this is a 300ZX club with equality for women (supposedly). Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the female form, especially knockers, but there's a time and a place. Time - about 2am Place - Dark room in front of a PC I'm amazed at the tolerance of the girls on this forum to be honest. Maybe they don't want to be seen as "prude" or worse, "feminist", lol, but I'd be fekkin raging if I was a female member of this club and saw this thread, and also some of your signiatures and avatars. I've been running an all-marque club for about 6 years, and one thing we were very strict on right from the start was sexism. It was never really a problem though, because the people who wanted to join, were firstly made aware of how things were run, and just wouldn't dare offend the girls. Fairly dissapointed this thread was actually "approved" by the mods.
  15. Just one? so it's a front-mount then? ;)
  16. I hope you all read the dealer's description, lol. Along the lines of "a genuine Testarossa would cost you 50K, buy this one for a fraction of the cost" ROFL!!
  17. Well I have no idea why that link isn't working, damn annoying. Anyone got any ideas???
  18. I'm thinking of moving to the USA, so I was just browsing over some local second-hand dealers sites, to help me decide whether to take my car with me, or buy something over there. My mind has been made up........ Clicky Link
  19. Can't believe it, I also has a Fizzy as my first bike :D Micron exhaust and, umm, that's about all you could get back then, lol. My mum made me sell it after I got "in trouble" with it, lol, but I just hid it in the cellar for a few weeks. Can you imagine her face when she called the gas board out to report an emergency gas leak coming from under the house :x: I think that's about the time I started living on my own, hmmm.
  20. Since you have the de-restrictor, you wouldn't want to fit the speedo convertor box thingy. It's known to mess up things like hicas and power steering. Instead, you want to replace the wee resistor on the speedo circuit board. Steve did this on mine and it works great, without messing up any important signals going to the ECU. Not sure if he's been back since his lynching from some of you over a mis-understanding about a tax disk ;) But definately the best option.
  21. Reading these posts, it's amazing how "programmed" we have become. Even though some of us (see, I'm doing it right now) are disgusted by homosexuality, we are very wary of offending anybody, or that perhaps we will be reported to the relevant body for daring to have an opinion. I have know several poofs over the years, and while they are decent enough people, I have never had one as a friend. Man + Woman = Evolution. A simple, yet time provan sum. Gays may call me Victorian, I call myself "Normal". But this is not about my feelings, this is about what they are trying to force on my children. They tried it recently with religion at the kids school, which I quickly put a stop to :D My youngest son was sent home with homework entitled "Write a prayer". I think my wife was even angrier than me, lol. What were we talking about again.....? Oh yeah, burn the witch!
  22. I had mine up for sale a wee while ago, but changed my mind within a week. I have never done that before with a car. I reckon since you're asking, that means you still have a chice. In other words, don't let it go unless you're missing mortgage payments and the family can't eat. You'll just end up bitter and seeking revenge on anyone who ever cursed it.
  23. Damn, I just stopped smoking ;) Kist kidding  Where do I send the cash? Paypal ok? D.
