  1. Quick update. Everything thing seems fine. It must of been the accumulation of 17 years of old antifreeze sat in the engine. Flushed it out every thing is fine.
  2. Ah, I see. I've been on boost no problem and the temperature sticks at half way on the guage, no over heating. I'll flush her out at the weekend and report back, thank you.
  3. So do you think mine will be corrosion instead of the head gasket? I'm going to flush it out at the weekend and see how it goes.
  4. I recently checked my oil and water and found that the radiator filler neck was clogged with orange gunk! My car has been off the road for 17 years but it has always had antifreeze in it and not just water, which i changed about 3 moths ago. I've now done 400 miles and checked the radiator a month ago and it was clean. Could this be head gasket? There is no creamy gunk under the oil cap or dipstick, the car doesn't smoke or over heat. Because it's orange could it just be rust out of the water ways that has eventually worked it's way out after being stood for so long? The day before it was 30 plus degrees and I took the car out for some exuberant driving so wondered if the engine got a bit warmer than normal. I flushed the gunk out and I've done 30 miles since and the gunk hasn't re appeared. Any ideas?
  5. Mines J766EWT 😁
  6. CZP do brand new ones for $50, £37.50 in English money. Usually cost $21 to post. You can always add a few things on as the postage will be the same. Usually comes within the week.
  7. Beef Gee vince, now that's a blast from the past.
  8. Sounds like battery, or battery connection. Clean the terminal posts and tighten the battery clamps. If mine aren't really tight it just clicks.
  9. I've ordered stuff from them without any problems. Their stuff usually takes about 10 days to come. I think they don't keep much in stock, and order it from Concept Z Performance (CZP). Don't quote me on that tho. I order from CZP in the states quite regularly, and stuff comes in about 4 days, great service.
  10. Cheers for looking. I wonder if it's something the Nissan technician uses to plug something in? My cars been off the road for over 10 years. I was just about to put it through it's mot, when I realised the instrument cluster lights weren't working. I was hoping this plug was the answer, and i just needed to plug it in somewhere.
  11. Does anyone know what this connector is for that's dangling down in the drivers footwell?

  13. A quick update. Finally got to work on the car today. Started her up and the revs were stuck on 3000 revs, not revving up and down like before. Unplugged the MAF, and the engine just stalled. While looking at this I noticed the throttle was slightly open. I tried to rev it where the cable connects to the throttle bodies, but the cable was tight. Traced it back and found that I had pulled the throttle cable back when I had changed the coil pack and injector connectors. Pulled it back to it's original position put it back in to the bracket, hey presto, sorted. I have still no idea why the revs were origionally jumping up and down. Thankyou for the MAF idea that i could rule out, without checking that I probably wouldn't have noticed the throttle.
  14. I'll try the Maf in the morning. I unpluggeg the tps, but isn't that high revs not fluctuating revs? I'd also bought a new PTU from CZP in the US, but Fed Ex managed to lose it when it got to Leeds! Hopfully it will turn up in the next couple of days.
  15. I was having trouble with my 91 TT reving on it's own from 1500 to 2000 revs. The car recently wouldn't start and i thought i'd tracked it down to a cracked and corroded CAS plug. I've since replaced this and cleaned quite a few of the other plugs, but now it revs on its own. It also at first was popping and banging like a rally car and the exhaust was getting too hot to touch, which it didn't do before. My data scan is showing codde 55 - no faults, before it was showing an ignition fault, i think code 21, any ideas? 20240614_175114.mp4
  16. As the title suggests, door and quarter window mouldings have 66% off at CZP. Cost just over £180 with delivery for both sides. Check out their other black Friday deals.
  17. As promised, pics of the new wheels. Not sure if i like them yet, it's so hard buying wheels without seeing them.on the car.
  18. I'll definitely post them, probably in a couple of weeks. The cars been off the road 14 years, a couple of weeks away from mot time, can't wait.
  19. Thanks guys for the replys. That's the sort of fitment look I'm after Richard. That tables helpful, 265 rears it is then. These are what I've gone for.
  20. I've just bought some new wheels and I'm unsure what tyres I'll need, id like to go as wide as possible. I've looked through lots of old posts but this has just made me more confused. The new wheels are- 8 x18 et 32 front 9 x 18 et 38 rear I have tein coilovers, so i can adjust ride height and damping.
  21. Just a little update. Filled in a V62 form and changed the address to my new one, stating I'd lost my V5 log book. New log book has arrived, with my new address on, no questions asked.
  22. I've just got new scuttle panels aswell from Z1. I have also got windscreen and targa trims coming from Amayama in Japan. I too need a new windscreen, do you mind me asking how much including fitting?
  23. My cars been off the road for 14 years and now it's nearly ready. It's been in storage and i have moved several times.I have the origional log book but a few years ago i tried to sorn it and it wouldn't let me. I think i must of been sent a new log book to my old address. How do i re register it to get it back on the road? Has anybody else had this same problem?
  24. I need to replace my windscreen and targa trims as after my recent respray they now look tatty. I was going to get them from Z centre but they are shut until march next year.I know Z1 and concept Z do them, but is there anyone in the uk that sell them?
