Yes that the pipe. Ive just got back in after putting in a litre of water and there is a slight drip coming from the ac drain pipe. Engine is cold btw. The carpets are all bone dry. Will go for a blast tomorrow and see how I get on. Will pack plenty of water! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi All, I’m getting through an alarming amount of coolant. The drip is constant while hot and coming from the centre of the car. There is a small pipe that is not connected to anything that is dripping. A couple of people have said it’s for the ac condenser. But I’m not so sure now as I’m losing so much water and this pipe seems to be the culprit. Does anyone know what this pipe is? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My boot struts we’re failing so paid to have the originals re gassed, but the seals had popped so had some boot struts made up at a company called SGS who made them to original spec. My car is over with Jimmer at the moment having some bushes and seals replaced and also a few bits and bobs. You can just about see the underseal I had done last week at Anson Autos from the pics below. Not very Rick n roll I know, but the practical stuff comes 1st with me. I’m just waiting on the spoiler which Ash is kindly sourcing for me as Mr Yellow Zed snaffled the one I was going to buy. Soon as I have that, the paint work is going to have a good going over. Gone in for a full 3m under seal and all box sections re waxed. I’m also having the lower wings straightened out and the rails knocked back into shapedue to some dubious jacking. As soon as my new spoiler arrives, that’s going on too, then a full clay and polish. Will look brand new in a couple of weeks! Was told it doesn’t need doing. So more reason to get it done me thinks! Well a long couple of days doing my 1st job ever on my Zed. 5 x engine flushes to clear the sludge. Removed all cooling pipes and gave everything a dam good flush, then the final flush I did with the engine at full temp and trickled water into the radiator for about 20 mins to clear any left over. Now have a clear system and running 50/50 mix. Thanks all for the advice and tips.

You were so right about the sludge! The expansion hose was blocked and also the expansion tank was completely blocked with thick brown goo. When I took the pipe off and removed the bottle it was like the tank was going for a well deserved poo. I had to plug the filler holes and blow it all out. So cleared that all the pipes and radiator etc. Temp gauge is a little lower than before, so have done some good I think water is now blue. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks all. Ive just noticed that in my “Click and Collect” order, which I ordered 10 litres of de ionised water, they have sent, 10 litres of De ionised ironing water. Which would probably be ok if it wasn’t Fragrance Burst fresh!!! Apparently it cuts down on ironing time and makes your engine smell like Daisies and Orchids. Not sure I trust that flavour tho. Might pop to Halfords and get some normal water just in case ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, So I’m going to battle Brian this afternoon and change the coolant in my Zed after last weeks embarrassing leak at a meet. The chap pie in Halfords seemed a little vague when asked what to use, so I thought I would post a pic and see if you guys agree with the choose of coolant. It’s Silocate Anti-Freeze and it’s blue. I was told to get blue. His initial question was what colour is my coolant to which I replied, Brown. He got a little lost and came to the conclusion I need, and I quote. “The Blue one mate” Needless to say I’m a little worried as I wasn’t sure of the skills of this chap.
