  1. Thanks all for your warm welcome guys and gals! Definitely a new and different experience, some teething issues such as the clutch hitting the deck and staying there, and the indicators deciding to not, but I'm hopefull it'll settle down soon.. With a bit of luck and a healthy dollop of advice from you lot anyway!
  2. Oh aye, worked fine for the 10 miles from there back home, reservoir still full. The real test will be this week's commute but hey ho. That's what breakdown cover and a bus pass is for eh? Even got the indicators to work again. Hazard switch stuck half-way between on and off, who'd've thunk it?
  3. Today I did many things. I insured and taxed it, got it out of the barn, drove it to the Boosted meet nr Aylesbury with some chums.... and drove the last couple of miles back with the clutch pedal on the floor. Turns out it was right on the limit with regards to fluid level, and just sucked one great lump of air in and stayed that way. So, first ever day of full legit Zed driving was a delicate rev matching game followed by begging, borrowing and stealing a jack, wood and some brake fluid for a quick top up and bleed. Quite why there's a bleedy thing waaaay out on the inner wing I don't know.. Lesson learned.
  4. £20 isn't too bad, think I might have to indulge. Just add it to the purchase cost, tax, insurance... Certainly a respray, an old ad on Retrorides mentions it, besides the fact that the hatch used to be red, the door seems to have been dark blue and the engine bay is black! Most seem to think it's GT-R Bayside, but I recon it's too light for that. Not seen another like it so who knows. Once I've figured out every control being in a completely different place to my old Audi I think it'll be good! Oh, and sorted the wheels! Cheers
  5. Thought I'd better introduce myself to yourselfs as I've been lurking for a couple of weeks whilst deciding how I'm going to deal with my new Zed, which I now done. Bought her at the beginning of the month and.... had to deal with a kerploded boiler, kitchen refit and a leaky bog, so deposited the car in a mates barn. Now I've got the insurance and tax and shizz sorted, she's coming home tomorrow. :w00t: As far as I can tell, there are at least three previous owners of VIW on this very forum, all of whom I wouldn't mind chatting with about the car with as it's all new to me, coming from working on other people's S bodies to having my own Z32. On another note, how does subscribing membership work, and is it worth it? From what I gather it's throw money at an account then magic happens then PM someone....? So, hi all, and if it works, here's pics. SWB, manual, N/A, targa, blue. Can't be many like this? Also a 1990 with a Z320019XX chassis number. Is this particularly low? I don't know Nissan codes inside out. Took a 'working lunch' and did some 'autonomous training' on the laser etcher at work and made a keyring. Didn't realise Z32s were so tiny They look huge on their own, but not when compared to my mate's E28 5er, not exactly a large car by modern standards!
