It is best if the rear is slightly higher than the front to help aid the coolant drain from the engine block (engine)

Once all the water has drained flush it through with water then tighten drain then remove the air bleed screw from top of radiator then top the rad up from cap until water comes out of bleed hole. Refit bleed screw and fill radiator to the top. (whilst engine running) until it settles at the top.

Unfortunately try as we might we cannot be responsible for your wipers falling off just because we fitted a back light. You will hopefully find most mechanics, Technicians have pride in theyre work. Therefore if anything goes wrong We they try and sort the problem ASAP. And I think Bird is trying to say his mechanic Has done everything he can To help but he cant do everything just because he fitted the engine ! In the nicest way ?

bottom of rad on drivers side is a drain for rad simply drain coolant there and top up with new when empty ! Could run water through to get it all out of block !

Well in between doing 3 other zeds today, my car is getting there. Apparantely a couple of bolts, bit of wiring and starter motor!! Fingers crossed it will be done tomorrow evening!!! Thanks 4 all the encouragment guys. See you all Saturday.

That would be your axillary fan yes relay missing would stop that working. The viscous fan is the one attached to the front of the engine on the centre pulley. This will only move when the engine is running. ;)

;) If you look at the engine in the middle at the front is two sensors ! check both ! When the engine is cold check the water level in the radiator at the front. make sure that its full right up. When the engine is warm and the gauge is flickering put the heater on full hot and make sure that it is blowing out hot.(you could have an air lock or just a faulty sender. Probably the best revs to change gear for economy would be between 3000 and 4000. Revs should rest between 700rpm and 900 depending on temp and gear position! sorry if i wasnt clear before :headvswal

maybe your thermostat is not opening properly or your viscous fan is buggered ? When the engine is at its hottest stop it and see if the fan carries on spinning or stops dead with the engine ?
