  1. Just had all the plastics off and the timing looked ok. To where the dots line up. It's slowly developed it over the last month or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. For the record I haven't touched it. It's just grinding and squeaking away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. What's this and why is it squealing? [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Oh yes and we have special straps as well to protect steering lock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So the car is definitely having the clutch done over the next few days. [emoji36]Went to go round the girlfriends and oh there she goes. Good job I work for Westbourne Motors [emoji85] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Shifter is removed from the cabin right. Sorry for the questions. I'm a technician but would rather get all info before pulling the car apart as never worked on a Z Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I guessed that but for the clutch I'm assuming it comes out. I'll check the plugs before I even think of draining it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm sure I'll find out. Prop has to come out of the box anyway doesn't it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Cheers matey [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. As the title suggests. Fitting a new clutch during the week and have decided to change the gearbox fluid as well. What's the correct fluid to put in. Cheers in advance guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Rolling some 17s with 40 tyre wall atm. Wouldn't worry too much about damaging anything as the bushes everywhere are shot. Stock suspension was lovely apart from both rears and front offside shocks had popped. As said I'm going to have a tinker with it tomorrow and Wednesday before work at 2 and see what I can do but in the long run I'll be getting some decent coilovers which are completely adjustable to get the perfect ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The only issue I noticed when fitting was the front shocks the bracket for the brake line was upside down [emoji23] but besides that they fitted perfectly. Will see if I can play with the preload and give it some more bounce as opposed to full retard mode of being solid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It does state in the description that they have a preloadable spring tension so I'm going to jack the car back up raise it 30mm and have a tinker around with the springs etc. See if I can change it about a little. They are also a get me out of jail card as MOT is on Friday this week [emoji85] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Note to self never spend £240 on fleabay on budget coilovers. Might as well have put scaffolding bars in there to replaced the three blown shocks. [emoji33][emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Count me in dude. [emoji1360] Payment can be managed after 16th march (payday) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Cheers dude time to start mine [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Maybe the admins could open a new area for build threads? Update the forum a little? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Best place to put our project threads? Just in z related topics? Decided my little gem is going to need a lot of help and advice from you guys and would like to keep it all in one place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm looking to remove the dull green look of the dash. Has anyone got a link for new dials and bulbs to do this. Thinking I'd like to go red or white.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is very true dude. It's not got major rust it is pretty clean just a little rough around the edges. It'll get there in time. But this months shopping list involves new bushes and engine mounts. [emoji15] I will do my best to get up to you soon. Workload and area depending. Been Southampton way most of this last week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Sounds like a lot more work that what we imagined. And if it'll struggle to hit 300bhp then it's a lot of cash for not a lot of gains. Think I'll stick to my original plan though. With getting a mot failure TT and doing the engine swap. Pretty sure I'll cope seeing as I'm a Roadside Technician. Done it before in other cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It's just for the engine and a few parts the rest would be sold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That brings me to the next also crazy idea. Got offered a TT the other day for a grand [emoji1360] today is payday and I hit bonus which means I may just have to do a buy...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Not sure if it's been thought about or even done but I was chatting with a few mates the other night about the Z. I have the N/A and was thinking power gains etc. Is it possible to mount a single super charger or two super chargers to the car? If so how and what would be the best one/s to use? Again crazy thought but and idea at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Haha. Possibly. But I might rob the lump for my NA. I fancy a big project. [emoji57][emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
