  1. I loveeeee bacon. So that's a yes from me. Looking forward to the AGM as well. Spending the week tinkering with the car and making sure it's all ready for a long drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. There's always the possibility of a beach day. BBQ etc West Witterings may be a bit more South Central but it's got a huge grass carpark and plenty of space to chill out for the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I did a buy. Bought a K reg UK spec TT auto. £1500 bargain. Pics will follow when it arrives [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Unable to make it guys. Z is poorly and haven't got the time to sort it. Still waiting for cambelt and front brakes to turn up. Plus work commitments mean it's not possible to make it. Sorry but hope you all have s great time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I managed with a 1/4" racthet and a deep 14mm socket. Admittedly it was literally one or two clicks of the ratchet but once it was loose enough I got my hand up there to do the rest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sounds very nice. The dual Maf wound make much difference on an NA would it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Fairly straight forward dude. Exhaust system off. Remove Starter motor and associated wiring loom and the gearbox loom. Drain the gearbox (can use 1/2" ratchet for the plug) . Loose the prop (two 17mm bolts) Drop the box (14mm socket) the two bolts up the very top are the only major issue. Really tight to get too. Removing the clutch plate is easy but I had my impact gun. Transmission fluid needed is 75w-90. Everyone uses different brands so whatever you want dude. Did mine on axle stands and the box is heavier than it looks but it is possible on your own with help from a Jack. I should have changed my flywheel and clutch plate. All I changed was the friction plate. But I'm getting a TT engine and loom asap so I'm only keeping this one running for a short time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not hanging around now. Balls rolling. New cambelt kit on order and looking at brakes next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Busy couple of days. Changed the clutch and sorted a few bits out underneath. Undersealed the tunnel and sanded down then resprayed the ARB and mounts as well as the gearbox mounting brackets. Nice new transmission fluid in and an oil change. Next stop get the mid silencers cut out of the stainless rear exhaust section. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Definitely still count me in dude. Have the money in the Z saving account waiting [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Just had a update of the new marker lights on the project tread ☺ Project Grey https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=76735&share_tid=186845&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2E300zx%2Eco%2Euk%2Fforums%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D186845&share_type=t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. That's a lot of reading there but I'm sure I'll be able to digest it and get on with it. It suggests doing all the cam seals etc, is this 100% necessary? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Continued my retrofit installation of the running lights on the Z this afternoon. Same as what I did to the front but this time on the rear side markers. Mine were not illuminated and I decided to build a loom and integrate these into the cars existing loom. Have to get some bulbs and will take a few photos later on when it's dark. If there's enough interest I can do a how to guide as I took photos all the way through. Also removed my horrific rear fog bulb that had been bodged into the O/S reverse light and wiring through the car. Now no Fog but I have plans to build a new central pod on the rear bumper similar to the RX-8's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Mine felt very similar to yours bud. Was shaking at high speed (60mph plus) but also happens when just started and cold. Feels like the back end it shaking all over the place. Possible the rear diff fluid needs changing or something. Felt like failed bushes or buckled wheels. Had new tyres fitted and wheels rebalanced. Which didn't cure the problem. Fitted new coilovers as the rear shock oil seals were both gone and shocks not working. This has taken the majority of the loose feeling from the rear end away. It still feels a little loose but I'm putting that down to 25year old bushes now. Try your new coilovers and see how it goes and then look at changing the bushes. 15. Southern Cross Garage. Totally skipped my mind. I usually take all the broken cars I pick up in Bognor to A&D which is just down the road. I'm a numpty haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Cheers dude. I do know what I'm doing. I have to. Just confidence I lack and belt changes have always been a worry when I've done them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It's all good dude. I've just read through that thread you quoted. Does actually look even move straight for to a longitudinal straight 4 belt. Think I'll buy the full kit off Zcentre (belt, idlers, water pump, tensioner) and get new cam pulleys as well. So pretty much go all out and give it a bash. All I need is the correct setup for the teeth distances and the tensioner setup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'll probably man up. But as said it's been my dream car since forever. And I have to work on cars all day everyday. Days off I dislike looking at other cars. But when this Z is my baby. I want to be able to say I've done the work. If there's thread and stuff for timing points and belt tension then I'll grow a pair and do it myself. Having looked at it it does look rather quite easy and straight forward [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It looks easy enough having had the front end all stripped down. But in truth, I don't want to mess the girl up. I trust what I'm doing, being a mechanic, but I'd rather let someone else who knows these cars do the work. Always been a dream car and breaking it is what scares me.....[emoji15] maybe I've just got man up a little. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Haha. This is true but I dislike Cambelts on a straight 4 let alone a v6 [emoji23][emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Hi guys, I'm just looking for a Z specialist on the south coast near to Bognor Regis. Need a Cambelt doing next monthish as I have no idea when it was last changed and one of the idler tensioners are failing. Cheers in advance Edd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. All sorted. Silicone grease all the pulleys. No more squealing. Leaving engine running for a bit to see if it comes back. Alic.....will take you up on that spare sensor though. Might have bent the shaft a tiny bit. It's wobbling a little now it's back on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Oh and the car runs absolutely fine. This crank angle sensor is just squealing and sounds horrific. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Taken the three bolts out and it isn't budging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Is there any harm in taking that sensor off now and checking it out and putting it back on exactly where it's been sat for a very long time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
