If the diverter valve is stuck it will not push the pin out to activate the microswitch and run the pump.

Just fit an Apexi filter, good for 500 bhp. About £80 best filter for the Zed do a search.

Apart from it being a crap boiler it may be the diverter valve that's stuck if the heating has not been on all summer.

i tap them with a small hammer as the pin is not connected to the valve only spring loaded.P.S i am a plumber :D
