I wasn't planning on buying a zed BUT!
if you go with your head, then its an obvious No, if you go with your heart then it'd be a Yes everyday. For me i'd get it, tinker with it in the garage, then when able use it, if not then sell it back on for probably more than you paid anyway.

Website Design??
if your business is importing cars, and your website is part of your marketing plan, then you'll get what you pay for, spend some decent money if this is your route to market. (i'm a business adviser and occasional website developer)

Stupid Women
was in the car with the misses and you know those trailer caravans that collapse into a trailer and then you need to erect when on site.... well told the misses that what you needed to do to erect them was to inflate them...... caught hook line and sinker until i cracked up, now she doesn't belive a word i say.

Good place for a service
i used ZedWorld to get mine done about 2 yrs ago, price was good and a job well done, though there not great at communicating and get back to you when you email them, other than that no complaints.

Z Garage in Lincolnshire
ur Z looks tops, awsome colour, and love the plate on it. wasn't my Z in Asda, well not for at least 2 years, since mine's been keeping cosy in the garage for the last 2 years, and now finally out and about. i try and do some stuff myself, but every so often its cool to get an expert view on stuff, especially since mine's been sleeping for the last 2 years, it seems to run great at the mo, other than a slightly rough idle, and a 'gasket-type-blowing-noise' from o/s front area, which i think probably relates to the idle prob. i'll be keeping my eyes out for you now :hyper:

Back on the road...
At last, the Z's been on/off the road for the last 5 years, and only done probably 10k in all that time, and at last i've got enough spare money to keep it on the road this time.... so its just passed the MOT (with the obligatory warning about head-lights, why is it every car i ever MOT has to have some hickup with headlights....) anyway, at long last... Sunny days the panels out, ahh nothing like it, having a hoot round country lanes, mmmmm.... now of course the problem is when you get the Z back on the road you start to notice all the little jobs you forgot about, and erm my list is growing: -Intermitent windows, which i think is dry joints. -Slight blowing noise from up-front, which i think is manifold gasket, grrrrr -repair a tear in the passenger seat -new front pads -remove awful rear tint on back window -fit HID conversion -repair the aerial (only half extends) -refurb the alloys -sort paint chip on rear bumper and ding in rear n/s panel but part of the fun in the Z is the tinkering time.... i'm hoping to come down to the JapFest at SantaPod so maybe see a few Z's there?

ok, don't flame me for what seems a daft question
cheers, the daft thing is when i first got the Z (5yrs ago) it never used to come on, and its only in the last few months i've noticed it, but hadn't done anything about it since had of road for a while now, but the bug has bitten again, so working through niggles..... Hopefully come back with the Green Ticket later on.

ok, don't flame me for what seems a daft question
About to put Z in for MOT this afternoon, but i've got a 'Light' warning light come on the dash whenever i press the brake pedal, its not the bulbs since they all work fine, its not the rear-fog light since that works ok as well, its not the rear night lights cos they seem fine also..... i'm lost as to how to fix this other than some black tape over the warning light??? any ideas?

Crackin Insurance Deal....
hi Dan, i assume u record all phone conversations, i'd really recommend u go back to some of these, since the impact one or two bad experiences are having on the image of your service can be seen by the number of people reading this thread alone. i'd have been happy to be told u couldn't insure me, but its how i was spoken to and the phone manner that i was unhappy with.
-
Crackin Insurance Deal....
Yeah, i couldn't belive the snotty attitude of the guy on the end of the phone, i was all set for hanging up on them, one of the most unprofessional customer services i've come accross in a long time.

Crackin Insurance Deal....
been hunting for insurance and thought it'd leave my findings... Me: 33, Live in Lincolnshire, No Points or claims etc Car: Import 300ZX TT Auto (totally std) NCB: none to carry with the car, since have 2 other cars with NCB's so looked for 5 year mirroring onto new policy.... Cover: wanted something to give me limited miles (5K) but to include Business class use and the wife, didn't mind if FC or TPFT a-plan £314, put needed CAT1 alarm certification (which i don't have) Bell £360 sureterm £483 footman james - 1500 Adrian Flux - not interested Warwick Davis - 545.31 performance factory - 900 Sky - pending (keen to talk but never came back to me) Livingstones - (never bothered coming back to me) Carol Nash - £420 I went for Bell, since they insure one of my other cars that has 5 yrs NCB and where happy to mirror 5 years onto the new policy, didn't need proof of my alarm. Its called a flexi policy since i dropped off the legal cover etc etc so its a bare bones TPFT policy, but its all i need and i get Business Class use etc. and its NOT a classic car policy so i will accumilate NCB and will carry those with this car when policy ends. Me's a happy boy, just need to get the new tyres and MOT then all sorted :hyper:

need your thoughts
can't help thinking if you go for the non-turbo you'll always be then hankering after a turbo model later on, i'd try and find a turbo if i where you, also make sure its a SWB, just looks soooo much nicer.

Daily drivers.....
yeak you can, use Heritage, i had no probs with them

Daily drivers.....
only go on my last quote for classic cover, i got it at around £290, but i was 32 at the time, and limited to 5,000 miles. as for NCD it shouldn't really matter with Classic since you can loose your NCD if you only insure classic anyway, since classic doesn't accrue NCD. hope this helps. btw insurance was via Heritage, but i've always found Bell to do good cover if you need Full Comp with Business miles etc then just under £500.
