  1. Doe anyone knows by any chance what thread the pressure sender is? I would like to use the leftside for an aftermarket-oil-pressure gauge. It looks like 10x1,25 but not sure. Thanks
  2. I've put some led's in the control pod's
  3. Thanks Groover, means a lot to me. I found 4 different type's of Ecu and it's very confusing. I have a series 1 ecu and indeed it has a blue sticker exept the numbers are 31P13/AF120-33. I guess there is 1 for the manual and then an early and a late in °C and an early and a late °F. So must be 5 different ecu's in total.
  4. Hello, is there anyone willing to take a look at the numbers on the ECU in there car? Just bought a ecu supposed to be a '97 but it isn't  . It's located at the drivers side. If you take off the door-airduct you can see it. Has to be the later model meaning digital control but where mode and fan-speed can be selected. Thanks.
  5. Nobody who nows wich is the number of the later heater-ecu? Thanks, Mike
  6. Yes, bodywork is quite OK, next summer it's getting a complete respray
  7. Rebuild and new parts Rebuild and the new parts
  8. Just had an engine rebuild and some deletes done by Jimmer. New cam oil seals, new valve stem seals, refurbished turbo's, new waterpump, vtc springs, thermostat, pcv-valves+hoses, idler-rollers, tensioner, timing-belt, bracket between engine and gearbox, engine mount, exhaust stud repair, o2-sensors, heater hoses, water-bypass, egr delete, aiv delete, fpvr delete, engine wiring loom, airco regassed, boost-leak test, gearbox maintanance. Car drives like a dream now. Fuel consumption went down, gearbox very very smooth now. Topjob and me very happy!! I try to post the pic's  Engine removal and all the old parts
  9. Rear speakers disconnected on the dashbord-side.
  10. Well, the problem is solved since rear speakers were disconnected, that's all I can say. Could have been a big bad dream
  11. Oh yes, and I've put an extra earth to the radio too.
  12. Jeff, I did the test, believe me. Every wire with a current sent trough creates a magnetic field. Since no wires are shielded in the car, the rear speaker wire could give some sort of interruption. Btw, more stories like mine on the internet. Mike
  13. Hello guys, I had my Hicas-light that came on since a few weeks. It only came on when I drove my car on the highway for more than 5 minutes at speeds higher then 90 km/h. Fluid level had been topped up. No problems were found with conzult and neither in "self-test mode". The car didn't do this before. After a good thinking I tried to remember when it first happened and what was changed to the car then. The last thing I changed was connecting the rear speakers. Normally, in the '90 model, there is a standard amplifier for the rear speakers in the back. The headunit amplifies the front speakers and a low-level signal is send to the back. Since the rear amplifier is gone in my car I thought, let's use the wires that go to the back to send the high-level signal to the rear speakers. Big mistake! It took me a while to figure it out because monday I had to go somewhere and use my GPS. I decided to switch the radio off to hear the GPS and then the Hicas-light didn't came on. I thought it might have been a coinsidence and tried it on the way back. Again the Hicas-light didn't came on. I then disconnected everything from the radio and connected 1 thing at the time and went for a test everytime I connected something. Since the rear speaker or not connected anymore, problem is solved. I don't say that this is the case everytime but consider it a probable cause in case you have a problem with the Hicas-ecu. Mike
  14. That's all it costs in the UK??? Lucky you...
  15. Well, got home safe and well from Bristol. The car drives nicer and smoother than before. She also is "a bit" less thirsty  . Jimmer did a topjob. I'm also a mechanic but in a different area and some things must be let to specialists. I got updated frequently with pic's of the progress from Jim's work. This guy is really great. I can recommend Jimmer to anyone who needs a proper engine job. I did 1200km in total to get my car over and back + train + airplane and I have to say, it was worth it! You guys are lucky to have these specialists, here in Belgium there is nobody who can or even wants to work on a ZX. Again, BIG THANKS TO JIMMER.
  16. Well let's say the enjoyment will start once I'm driving at the "right" side of the road again LOL. My trip home will be a bit more stressing since I'll be driving at night, at the left and without road-illumination :blushing:
  17. D-day.....I'm going to get my toy back from Jimmer's today  . Can't hardly wait....
  18. Yes Ali, the trip back was a bit faster, 55minutes and I was back in Brussels :-) Nice meeting you too mate ;-) Mike
  19. What did I do today??? I drove my Zed 600kms all the way up to Bristol. So now Jimmer can do some things on my Z :-)
  20. Silly question: are most of the petrol-stations along the higways open on sunday in UK? Mike
  21. Hello, I have a '90TT with the full automatic climate. Like someone said it's just pnp to switch it to the later one. I just bought the control module from the dashboard. But can anyone tell me the partnumber from the ECU I need? Thanks, Mike
  22. I had the same thing and just solved it by replacing the old IC-tube's. After taking of the old ones I saw they were slightly cracked. Mike
