  1. Thanks guys 🙂
  2. Yep thanks Joel, I was aware and going to challenge them on it, however I measured the plate and it still came up short, 55mm tall characters instead of 64mm. So as you say, I'm getting a standard size legal one to pass the test without question, and I might slot the small one back on after.
  3. So did I as it turns out! Fail on: Non original headlamp bulbs (HID) Front number plate too small Mot tester can't find the damn fog light switch. Ahhh well at least it's nothing major
  4. Hi, do you have the two front undertrays, and the side ones that go up to meet the wheel arch liner?
  5. Well I graduated from uni 3 years ago so it's definitely been a while!
  6. Hey guys, it has been a while. Life has been a constant distraction but it's about time I popped back in to say hi. My car still lives (and I do drive it nowadays) and is not that broken these days! Jimmer did some bits and pieces last year to bring it together and it's nearly that time for MOT again so a few things to sort, but overall doing pretty well. I'll try to pop in here every now again and see how everyone is doing 🙂
  7. It did, it was a hydraulic system in the boot behind the driver under a plastic piece.
  8. I'll be back around April time. My Dad may be able to fish stuff out for you however as he is based in London.
  9. Hi, Apologies, I haven't received any WhatsApps from you in quite a while. I am currently at uni in Sheffield however I can pass you my Dad's number and brief him about it (and make sure he can find them) Sorry it has taken so long, we could never arrange anything and then I forgot about it. Ali
  10. It would take maybe a weekend? You don't need new turbos. Putting the clutch pedal in the interior is a bit of a faff, and changing the pilot bearing to the manual one can be a pain. But other than that and a bit of wiring. Its just like a gearbox swap. Is it worth it? Well I couldn't stand the auto so imo yes.
  11. I thought I had a thread for it but I cant seem to find it.
  12. Yep the black one gets the majority of my attention. Its now running well and has boot loads of power. Had that on the road over summer. All it needs is some paint and fix some rough edges and of course some upgrades down the line, most prominently the brakes. And finally get an interior done which is a long story.
  13. Hi, I do still have this car and I've got her roadworthy bar some will rust. I haven't really had a need to have this car to drive so it's just been dry stored for a while. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

  15. Thank you all, I will be making a comeback shortly
  16. Take door card off, unbolt the door glass runner stoppers (2 of them), take the outside window trip off without bending it, unbolt the glass from the motor, 2 bolts, lift glass out. (You have to take the outside and inside pillar trip off also)
  17. If its got hit to the point of damaging the lights and trims, I would be surprised if it hadn't sustained some decent body damage but would be interesting to see pictures. Also Whats that? Its metal under the lights.
  18. He means the impul clear covers over the front lights. Like my car has :)
  19. Damn front bumper gimme gimme
  20. Puts air into the exhaust to dilute the exhaust gases and improve (cheat) emissions. It's just unnecessary junk in the engine bay.
  21. Iirc it's part of the aiv system. It has some vacuum lines going to the solenoid right? If not then it's probably deleted
  22. Here's what I dug up, it was 1k cash. And also a conversation I had when I looked at the car with my Dad "The car felt like a wreck, might be a synchromesh problem and none of the gearbox is wired up" (reverse lights, Speedo, neutral sensor) That's all the info I can really give. For me personally I would just feel like it would be a money pit of fixing things.
  23. I tried to look but it was on Facebook at October last year and Facebook isn't that easy to find old posts. It had been drifted by the previous owners also. I mean perhaps it has been restored since and its better than when I saw it, but I doubt it, it was quite the shed so to speak [emoji23] I was contemplating as a breaker :)
