4 x OEM Z32 Alloys
I'm giving away what i have left after sorting out a full set of Nissan alloys for my Z32. 4 OEM Alloys; 40P10 R 40P00 R 40P05 L 40P05 L As you can see one alloy is different, i believe this to be an import JDM wheel and the other 3 are UK spec. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'd like these to be collected if possible. Cheers

Wheel saga
No not the cars fault but I had a plan and it failed miserably. I don’t have a lot to throw at the car, I spend what I can on the maintenance. This has just been a bit of bad luck really and could be easily solved if someone would snatch up these tyres for a reasonable price. As much as I’d love to buy a set of 17” tyres and new alloys, I can’t do it.

I did do some time ago, I really don't know how much they are worth now? They've never been used, only fitted. A cost to me at £350

Wheel saga
Some of you may have spotted my thread about the alloys I bought from EBay. I was basically mugged off by a seller on EBay who sold me three UK spec wheels and one import original Nissan alloys. I bought these as I wasn’t flush at the time and the wheels on my car at the moment are in bad shape, one of them is slightly buckled. During the cold snap, the tyre on the worst one actually came off the rim, thankfully I was only travelling at about 20mph. When the wheels arrived they obviously all looked the same but the tyres that came with them, which were listed as ‘road worthy’ were far from legal. During dealing with the seller about the tyres, I went and source a set of TOYO and Marshall tyres for the wheels and subsequently had them fitted to the alloys. When I went back to the workshop, they fitted them but informed me I have three different size wheels. Two rears and two different front wheels, one was slightly wider than the other. Also to add, the UK spec wheel are convex and the imports are concaved (I think it’s that way around either way, they are different). I took the wheels home (I shouldn’t have) in the hope I would find a replacement for the front. The wheels aren’t great looking to be honest, and now that I’m working again, I’m looking at a new set of alloys. The problem I have now is that the tyres I have are 16” but the wheels on my car currently are 17” and I like the way they look. I’ve listed my tyres on various sites but no one wants to buy a set of new tyres of this particular size from a private seller it seems. They are odd sizing as they were to fit the original Nissan alloys and several garages said they found it hard to match my request. I considered getting my wheels restored now as they are replicas of the wheels found on the Ferrari F40. But if I have them restored, I need a new set of tyres as wheels, as the tyres I have are 16”. This has turned out to be a nightmare because if I now fit the new 16” alloys and tyres and don’t like the look, I don’t think I’d want to keep the car. Rant over, I’m not sure which road to take, I don’t want the new look to be a disappointment.

Photoshop of alloys?
 No problem. I am really picky when it comes to wheels, I really don't know how people go about buying them without doing this.

Gargling noise??
Just wanted to ask on here if anyone has performed this task before and if so, did you use something off the shelf to plug the pipes? Speaking to Jimmer at Powerzed, he said he'd be surprised if the pipe connecting to the exhaust would come off without breaking up. Better to plug further down the pipe than to attempt that. If someone has done it before, what is the size of the plug that has to be plugged?

Photoshop of alloys?
Last one, I promise! Could someone have a pop at putting these on the car pictured? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191867330928?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Hey Alec! This is great, thank you. I was really unsure of the wheels and now I know how they'll look. Hmm, I'm still undecided now! :S

Photoshop of alloys?
Hi guys, trying to choose a set of alloys for the car. I can't find a set of Borbets on a grey Z like mine. Would someone photoshop these wheels I found on ebay on to a grey 300z please? Cheers!

Gargling noise??
Certainly sounds like the symptoms and the solution. Thanks for the quick responses guys!

Gargling noise??
Most probably, yes. Will these be the cause you think?

Gargling noise??
What started off as a minor niggle has gotten considerably louder. I can hear it best when I open the door of the car, at idle. When driving it appears to disappear altogether. The only way I can describe the sound is a gargling or liquid. I originally thought, cooling system but I’m now really unsure. Any suggestions? Cheers

Intermittent problem, now permanent problem.
PTU contacts and unit are very clean. I did give it a quick once over. What is the CAS?

Intermittent problem, now permanent problem.
Thats interesting thanks Andrew G. I'm pretty sure now this is the problem.

Required as I think mine is on its way out.

Intermittent problem, now permanent problem.
Checked today and if I'm right it's showing code 21. Ignition signal. Would this prove the PTU theory? Another source has also suggested the Ptu, so now I need to find a replacement to test. Thanks for the links and suggestions guys.

Intermittent problem, now permanent problem.
About a week ago I dropped a friend off in town and when I got to the dual carriageway I accelerated to about 50 and she literally died on me. A couple of splutters but that was it. I could smell the catalytic, bad sulphur burnt smell. Which eventually went away and she started again. I eased her the mile I had left and then took her out to test a day or two later. The same thing happened after 10 minutes of running. She cut out but this time no smell. I left her for about 15 minutes and she started again. Being that there wasn't much to look at this point. I changed the fuel filter. Took her out today and she ran well, full power as far as I could tell. She cut out about a mile from home. I probably did 4 miles. She's cut out but this time will not start. No lights on the dash to indicate anything out of the ordinary. Everything looks connected under the bonnet. Suggestions welcome :)

Security for the Z *almost lost her*
So four nights ago someone tried to steal the Z. My own fault really as she has no security whatsoever. Just locked. I live in a decent area and have owned classics before without any security. Thankfully the *******s only got as far as the car park across the road and scarpered before hotwiring it. I lost my job back in Feb due to redundancies, the year hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. I'd love to get some security. I've been quoted £350 for alarm and immobilizer installment. £180 for just an immobilizer. I may have to go with the physical stuff for the time being, until I'm back in work. What would you guys recommend i could do, on a budge to protect my girl?
