  1. I know of a couple of companies that repair/supply ac compressors if anyone wants one :)
  2. i think he means you dont need a side repeater with lights in the mirrors (which will be classed as side repeaters!) yes, you will need both :)
  3. you decided what your gonna do with the exhaust of the wastegates yet?
  4. mine did this, so i took the valve off, cleaned it out & refitted it ;) :D

  7. lol! this is 10x worse than loosing a servo!!
  8. any ideas on cost??
  9. Merc have had a new braking system (SBC) out for a while now, which in its correct operating state is completely brake by wire, no hydraulics at all from the brake pedal to the brakes. which when working ok is actually very impressive. got to drive one the other day with the system (deliberatly) inoperative. FOOKIN HELL its scary!!! in fail safe mode there is a hydraulic connection to the front (only) brakes. with no servo. & a VERY spongy pedal that almost hits the floor!! i didnt think i was gonna stop the car at 20mph knowing it was gonna be crap!! god only knows what an old biddy would do on a motorway if it was to fail :( just hope we dont get too many failures of these!!
  10. LMAO!! dont forget to lube his big-ends :D
  11. he's a model for shampoo ads ;)
  12. is there any evidence to suggest that relocating a series 2 PTU is actually beneficial at all??? the series 1 then yes, i would agree its worthwhile, but if replaceing with the later type I wouldnt have thought it would be worth the effort??
  13. yea, but whats that got to do with your car?? :D
  14. 4 - any good quality synthetic/semi synthetic will be fine. i use Mobil Super S semi synth 10W40 5 - plugs are under individual coil packs, for misfires, check the connectors to these & the PTU (ign module located on o/s cam belt cover) first details on electrolysis attached :)
  15. New laws are being enforced on front side windows & front screens. as well as the police carrying light meters, VOSA (ministry of transport) are also enforcing this law with checks at the side of the road. VOSA are also going around dealers, at this stage just to warn them to remove any film on vehicles for sale, in the future we will prob just be prosecuted  the same 70% tint seems to be the letter of the law, although speaking to VOSA they said any aftermarket tint will probably be illegal. speaking to our tinting company they seem unsure as to whether even the old "legal" tints are ok or not, but think they may be. the problem is, when applied over a factory tinted window then possibly not. the fact that this new purge has just come out at the same time as prosecuting for being on mobile phones is purely coincedental
  16. yeah, the 1880's!!!!!!! :D
  17. for a cat back exhaust & an induction kit, i reckon on upto 30bhp, which may sound huge but on a 300bhp car you'll be hard pressed to notice!! I done mine & yes you could notice a difference, but its not gonna make you go "WOW!!", it will be a subtle little increase in power in the low-mid range. mines a daily driver too BTW, covered 20k odd miles since i owned it :)
  18. nah - bout 400bhp now. intake & zorst wont make any huge difference, but they do pave the way to a boost increase - which does!! :D
  19. could have been worse - they could have bought french crap!!!
  20. LOL!! looked nice bud :)
  21. LOL!! had one of those give it large with me behind, i kept up with him all the way. I think he got pissed of cos after about 15 mins of giving it large & not pulling away from me he just backed right off!!
  22. go on timmy - post something contriversial FFS!! :D
  23. the cat lights come on if the exhaust temps get too high. how is the car running? have you done an ECU diagnostic to see if any fault codes are stored?
