the sensors in the cats are just temp sensors, these can just be tied out of the way, the O2 sensors are indeed before the cats. you could gut the existing pipes, but fitting decat (or test) pipes is a much better option for flow. the downpipes are a different section again & can be replaced with better flowing "dump pipes" (which have a seperate section coming from the wastegate) ask the traders here for deals, & if you need a ramp iv got 7 of them :D

fronts are dead easy & just bolt on top & bottom

exactly, you cant compare RLTC to a modern cars OEM TC, theres just so much you can set up on the racelogic system. RLTC was designed for the track!

relocating the det sensor is not a good idea IMO. it works on frequency of sound, moving it to another place could change that frequency & it may not pick up det. Nissan engineers put it there for a reason, if your gonna do the job then do it properly ;)
