i believe someone on here looked into it & Quaife may be able to do a 6 speed conversion for our box - may be a cheaper (& certainly easier) option all in all!

ok - its a close ratio box between 1st & 5th. 5th is the same 1:1 ratio as 4th gear on a z32 with 6th as an overdrive gear (havnt compared ratios to see the effect on top speed) should see better acceleration through the gears with an additional gear to play with to keep the torque in the right range when shifting :)

The JUN car used a stock box & hit 262mph! i really dont think a couple of 200mph+ runs is gonna be too much trouble, its not tho it gonna be a sustained speed over hours or so

im sure there is an in depth write up on TT.net that shows uprated SM's give a better power increase than FM's apart from a couple of real big bhp cars

that FM looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than 2x SM's!! have you measured the capacity of that FM v 2xSM's?? + the additional piping all adds to the volume. larger volume of air to compress = more lag im afraid - ye cannae change the laws of physics cap'n ;) its the age old big is better so fookin huge must be great!! total overkill IMO.
