  1. lots of different options on this. you can turn it right off & it is adjustable also. you can also "fine tune" it via a laptop (or i believe the new style controller) its a race system designed for the track & once setup properly is bloody fantastic!!
  2. let me know, if im free i'll pop up again :)

i wouldnt remove the input shaft, technically once the nut is undone the diff should be fitted with a new collapsable washer for preload. prob doesnt weigh in at all that much anyway. not really looked on my zed, but diff backplate? may weigh a bit
  10. thats good, get a big bore exhaust then put a restrictor in the end of it!! :headvswal

    there isnt one!!
  12. i would say run on super unleaded all the time, the few pence per litre saving just isnt worth it on a car like this IMO.

  14. nah, mines done 120,000 miles now! it *can* show up problems that were peviously masked if the engine is in poor condition. if the rings/bores are worn then the coating of carbon underneath them can help keep the compression up, after flushing the carbon gets removed & if the rings or bores are really that knackered then it will allow the rings to sit further in on the pistons. iv done hundreds of flushes on cars over the years & have personally not had a problem. it can happen tho
  15. it is more peace of mind really, tho with an engine flush the fresh oil certainly stays cleaner for longer :)
  16. LOL!! mr decisive as ever eh James?? :D just keep it - looks bloody great now mate :)
  17. its probably the det sensor or harness causing the code 34. you can do a bypass as a test by installing a 1Mohm resistor in the circuit. do a search. TBH, on a NA its only gonna retard the timing by a few degrees, im not sure how much difference it would really make to the running even if this was faulty - worth a try 1st tho i suppose. when it messes around, it it just lacking power or misfiring?
  18. LOL!! does everyone really get that excited over an MOT?? theres always a thread on here letting us all know its passed!! :D well done tho :D
  19. i use fuel system cleaner & engine flush every now & again. i only use trade products & wouldnt use the crap sold in the likes of Halfords tho!!
  20. one thing to watch for is experience with particular engines, tho its not quite so important on forced induction engines, porting & polishing can actually reduce power if not done correctly!
  21. tesco 99 RON or optimax
