  1. if you look at the picture posted in the link a few posts up, you will see the reciever/dryer with the lead coming off of it, at the end should be a connector - this is the lead to the switch - i think the large nut you are reffering to is the actual sensor itself where it screws into the canister??
  2. PMSL!!!! will have to print that out & give it to my girlfriend if she has any hopes of being the next Mrs C!!
  3. Eric (lymon) has turbocharged an NA engine, Mark (topless) has done a TT swap. info for turbocharging an NA info for TT replacement
  4. yup, mike does do them - iv had one off him :wack:
  5. do people read the stickys then LOL!!

    20-25mpg, less if driving hard!
  11. if your still getting code 34 with the resistor correctly installed, then the fault lies in the wiring from that point back to the ECU, or the ECU itself. id check the ECU connector 1st
  12. LOL! 1st mod to ban a dozen members this morning wins a prize :D
  13. if the corrosion is bad (which quite often it is, extending down the wires) then you really need to get hold of replacement injector harnesses & solder them in
  14. you can fit them either way, forwards is for a more "aggresive" style!
  15. like this: http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html check with an ohm meter if in doubt
  16. you need a 1 meg ohm, not 1 k ohm ;)
  17. on the reciever/drier IIRC, i think you can gain access through the headlamp panel, its on the left as you look through it. you can short it out with a piece of wire or a split pin
  18. if the pressure is low, short out the 2 wires to the low pressure switch, the compressor should then cut in. if it does, the rest of the system is ok & needs a regas (or switch is faulty - unlikely tho ;) )
  19. more than likely want a regas, sounds like the pump is cutting in ok.
