Thanks Andrew, doesn't look too bad and is very local to me. My next door neighbour is seriously interested in getting a Z after coming for a ride out in mine last weekend. He even bid on a cheap NA on eBay this morning and missed out by £50.

So today the Mrs booked a 3d HD scan as she couldn't wait another 4weeks to find out the sex.... Turns out we're having a little girl!! So chuffed:)

This was a great event last year, definitely one to try to get to if you can:)

I have been using google alot today to try and pinpoint which one it is but it doesn't seem to say much about each one. Only really brings up the newer models

It doesn't say anywhere on it. All I can assume is that its a mp2, 3, 4 or 5 as those are the only ones that had my shaped fob

I do agree but for now I just need something I can trust. When its playing up the car is literally dead. I managed to get it started eventually today but not confident with it at the moment.

New battery yes, spare fob no I'm afraid:( I really think its something to do with the computer/circuit board of the alarm

My alarm/immobiliser on my Z has been playing up for quite a while now and this week it's worse than ever. Basically, the fob just doesn't work (sometimes). You have to completely disconnect the alarm where it plugs into the siren, disconnect the car battery for 10mins, plug it all back together and then it'll work. It's an old Toad alarm and on close inspection of it, it appears to not have a separate box away from the siren. My question is, could I replace the alarm using the existing wiring and immobiliser and just replace it with a newer toad alarm and how easy would that be? I've phoned around a few alarm companies and they are wanting £500+ to remove and reinstall a new one. I can't spend that right now so just weighing up my options
