To be fair matey only had the car 3 days not had chance to give it a good run due to work, so not got it fully warmed up so just white smoke coming out the back looks like condensation due to cold weather to me at the moment mate. starts up first click as well:)

whats the going price from jim mate for rebuild? have u taken engine out yourself to save cost.

Seems to drive ok for low compression on pot 6 lol might last long enough, hence getting another before it pops lol

Think thats what iam going to do lads get a cheap bare tt engine amd rebuild it for when mine goes pop Howuch am I looking at for a bare tt engine? Cheers mark

Well bad news just been told the zed I have bought has a low compression on cylinder 6 when cold 75psi then builds up when warm, wonder if this is the noise Iam on about as well:( seems to pull ok but give it any right foot really. Bet a engine rebuild won't be cheap :( bugger bugger

Anybody else got any ideas on the noise? what it could be that's if you can hear what iam on about in the vid lol just used I pad :)

Was changed by previous owner I n December but he is unsure what grade was used as a garage done it that's all. Mark :)

Now I thought it would be thicker for an older engine, use 10 60 in my scoob been spot on for years. Cheers mark

What grade oil are people using in there zeds, it was changed in December looks clean but I don't know what grade was used so might change it gents. Cheers

Thoughts so mate, the guy changed oil before I bought it will ask him what he used buddy. The noise to me is more bearing maybe from a pump or alternator can you hear it? Will take belt off when I get chance and start it up see if noise stops lol

If I can not get one will bare you in mind cheers, the pump does quieten down after 15 mins but you can here it stop and kick in again every so often engine runs fine well but lumpy on start up cold for 30 seconds lol

Thanks noz, will get one what am I look at in cost? Will fit myself. I just wondered if it was updated on as the updated one in my scoob is a bit noise but not as noisey as the zed lol.

Pump is really loud to be fair on start up will change for peace of mind I thnk. As for fan belt cheers will deffo have a look I thought fan but doesn't sound like it's from that but hard to pin point lol :)

Noticed a few things on my zed tonight. First. Fuel pump is really loud does quieten down over time this common? Oil garage works then stops I think this is common? And temp gauge is half way up within 8 mins but been told this probs normal so not a a problem. One other thing is, sounds like a dry bearing when engine is running but not sure which is there a common on that drys up? Like to get it sorted. Car as only done around 200mile in the last year so I have been told so that won't help, I have not had chance to put any miles on it yet due to work. But do love it already lol Cheers mark

Cheers. I drove it round the block 5mins max and sat on drive for 2 to 3 mins and was up to half way mates na takes ages to go up thats all lol.cheers. Will get some pics up soon as I can dark when I get home from work :( Mark.
