  1. I just downloaded the prog and started using it, very easy to use, great functions etc, wicked
  2. No i haven't used this prog but used many others, how easy is it to use bud?
  3. Nice one bud I have canon A80 4Mp camera and i have no idea how to use it, but you just made things seem a whole lot easier... cheers Jay
  4. I can imagine your frustration mate, Iv'e been saving for 7 years to be able to afford a Z, and finally bought one  I ended up with a jap 2+2 lwb, It is so much fun! but you have to seriously treat it with respect at the same time , the only cost i didn't take into consideration when making the purchase was the running costs, with me at least £10 a day (£10=30 miles), my Z is more economical on boost! if it makes sense. but i would not give it up for anything, well unless it had 400bhp + with traction control. lol. Belive me mate if you can afford it along with the running + servicing costs then go for it, you wont regret it.
  5. Basically im trying to eliminate a rough idle problem my Z has quite a lot when at running temp, I have had to live with this for 6 months now and it is really getting irritating & deffinately embarrasing and id like to solve the problem so im working my way through everything possible that isnt quiet right with my Z, so far i have removed intake pipes and cleaned throttle bodies (throttle jams on occasion, still after cleaning), set the tps to correct setting, set idle as per insructions found here, AIV's have been removed as per TT guide checked air filters (all ok), due for all oil's to be done (next week hopefully), found 1 small fuel leak (cured ages ago). help needed before i get fed up and get rid which i dont wana do coz i love my Z sooo much. The part in question here i think is part of the PRVR system which was removed before i bought it, i dont think it's been done right, Please look advice needed before i give up the Z. P.s thanks in advance & if any of you guys are ever in the plymouth area and wana get together, it'd be cool to see your motors and have a natter a beer iv'e never been to any meets etc before, but im dedicated to my car's, I always have been. This part on the plennum (circled in yellow) on my Z has no pipe on it to connect a hose to, it has a screw in it blocking the hole!!!!! is this ok? it was like this when i got it! could this be causing my idle problem? will i be able to get one from nissan? is it an important part? id like to have piped correct advice needed. what is the other end of this hose connected to? is it the fuel regulator or someting? im not to sure but would like to know..... im trying to cure a rough idle which settles after about 30-45 seconds after coming to a halt, sometimes stalling. 9. I bought these wheels recently for a bargain price, but there are no centre caps with them which im tryign to get hold of, im trying to find out what they are, 16 inch 7j. cheers jay [/img]
  10. when i put the clutch pedal to the floor with the engine running and warm/hot i can feel a grinding when the pedals to the floor, is this bad?? only had it once before, then it goes away...any ideas? expensive?
  11. hicas boss?? whats this? :nelson:
  12. Thx but thats a bit expensive for me,i want to change it for agood 1 for the time being on the cheap if i can! coz im saving to buy a Isotta Katiena in black & a snap off boss, the car cost me so much in fuel that i dont get the chance to save that much...
  13. My steering wheel looks like someone has been at it with an axe , i was curios as to whether there was a nicer nissan steering wheel standard fit (poss from a differnt nissan), so i wouldnt have to fit a boss, or where could i get a good 3 spoke wheel from, ive looked and cannot find one anywhere..
  14. these are on ebay for £22-£30 plus postage, i think thats a bargain
  15. I just called my sis now and asked if she was a member of any recovery dervices, she forgot she's a member of the rac :headvswal , so she is on the blower now, thanks peeps
  16. HI guys i am apologising in advance for this not being zed related but, my little sister just snapped her only car key in the door lock on her pug 205, does anyone know how to hotwire or bypass the ignition/steering lock on her pug 205, she is stranded in the middle of nowhere and im 320 miles from her. cheers
  17. My zed is really starting to P*ss me off now the idle problem seems to be all over the place, last couple of days its been quiet bad, but oil pressure is better than before, is anyone in the plymouth area who knows thier stuff that could take a look at my zed for me, id be eternally greatfull.
  18. just noticed your dump valves are in a different place to sc007's on his old zed, am i wrong or????? does it matter where they go??
  19. Oh and just incase, i read that i shouldnt be able to hear the stock turbos on my zed when driving, unless im going through a tunnel with the windows open and then they say ill bearly be able to hear them....The thing is that whenever my turbos start to kick in wherever i am in the rev range, or whatever speed im doing, i get a VERY noticable ouiet loud WHISTLE/WHINE, should this be happening??
  20. This problem is embarassing more than anything, the times my zed has stalled on me is countless! I have allready removed and cleaned the IAA valve, it looked in pretty good condition.. Is there anywhere i can buy a hose kit with all the hoses? or would this be too expensive, just thinking it may be easier to change the lot instead of trying to find a leaky hose somewhere under the bonnet.
  21. Hi guys, my zed is coming up for it's next service, is there anyone around the plymouth area who could do it, that i can trust!, while it's in for the service i need new pads all round too, this is the first service since i owned it should i do anything else apart from engine oil & filter?. Are these jobs i could do myself? im quiet handy with a spanner :smw: What i need to know is: what oil to use? what filters do i need? what brake pads to use?.. Also i have an idle problem, when coming upto a junction or a stop my revs will drop to 0-100 and then pop back upto 1000 rpm then the engine hunts half a dozen times before it settles down, sometimes engine will stall but only if im slowing from high speed!. I have removed the aiv valves and prvr system & cleaned the iacv according to the guides on this forum , but i had this problem before, my brother thinks i have a vacume leak on the near side down by the turbo somewhere! could he be right, i think i can hear it but it may be the vacume noise from the balance bar!!! (could i be wrong?).... When this hunting problem occurs if i swith on my air con (the auto button) it is still the same, BUT if i put my front screen blowers on the idle settles fine at around 800rpm, then if i switch the front screen blower off it will settle at around 700-750rpm perfect until the next time it happens which is often. i have got into the habit of swith=ching my screen blower on when coming upto all junctions or stops now. If i drive the car upto a junction or stop going down in the gears slowly coming to a stop the car will act normal 95% of the time. i cant work out whats going on please help, it's strting to drive me NUTS.. cheers
  22. beat me to it i was just about to post it. :hyper:
  23. Just a quick question? seeing as your discussing insurance aswell, can you insure a jap zed TT on classic insurance, im 27 with 2 years no claims, ive got 2 dr10's  both over 5 years old, which my insurance company say the dont count, but i thought they did! my premium is just over £900 with A-PLAN, with a £550 excess. i think my mileage limit is 8000.
  24. I use my J-spec TT as a daily driver, and it costs a fortune, i do regular short journeys, stop/start, and lots of traffic in my area, i get around 10-12 miles per gallon of super unleaded, but i dont care coz it so much fun :hyper: , but you also have to bear in mind that it will need more regular serviceing than normal.
