  1. They are indeed!
  2. It was hiding on Gumtree in Coventry. It's mechanically very sound, it had a new cambelt last year, wiring loom, brake lines, paddle clutch (eurgh, this'll be changing), and sone more things that I forget now. Unfortunately it's hesitating sometimes when I boost…
  3. I finally found a Z! TT Manual 2+2, 1992. There are a couple of teething problems, if anyone has time to offer some advice there's a separate thread under the help section titled, 'Boost anomaly'.
  4. Did you ever get this resolved? I think I'm having similar issues.
  5. Yer, good advice. I'll have to abstain from boosting for the meantime :(. Do you think it's likely to be a fuel related issue? Do you think it'd be worth going to Zedworld? Are they reasonably priced and fair?
  6. I did a 'wiggle test'. Couldn't notice anything changing with the engine. What is it I should be looking/hearing for with this. Any other ideas of what could be wrong? Is the prop shaft issue an easy check?
  7. Thanks for the reply. I'll have a look at the things you suggested and see if it identifies any issues. With the judder, it's like a vibration through the car, not the steering wheel though.
  8. I got my first Z last weekend – a manual TT in an aftermarket cosmic blue! I'm absolutely loving it so far, just noticed a couple of oddities. Firstly, when I boost sometimes it is super smooth but other times it really judders. Like a hesitation, and I think I can hear it backfire (hard to tell as it has a muffler). Does anyone have any ideas what could cause something like this? It strikes me odd that it happens sometimes and not others. Secondly, I've noticed a judder from between 40–60mph. From what I've read on the forums, this is quite common, and a misaligned prop shaft is to blame? Thanks!
  9. A bit cheaper from CZP too! Cheers for your help. I think I'll go for the sport street.
  10. Cheers. So they deliver to the UK? Would the sports street clutch suffice? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=102
  11. What sort of price do they fetch, and are they available in the UK? I couldn't find a supplier. I was hoping to pay in the region of £200–£250 for the parts.
  12. Okay, well that's good news then! Would you happen to have a link to the one you have?
  13. I bought my first 300zx TT today (loving it) and the previous owner had a 5 paddle clutch fitted with the view of having more power going through the car. My issue is, with it being a daily driver and I require being able to parallel park quite frequently, what would be a good clutch to swap this out for? Are there issues with skipping with an OEM clutch? Or is it worth putting in a slightly uprated normal clutch? Also, what's the sort of price range I'll be looking at for fitting, is it something who my mechanic who is unfamiliar with zeds be able to do? Many thanks in advance!
  14. Just an update on the White 'Veilside' zx. A number plate search showed that the car was a '91 rather than a (as he claimed) '94.
  15. Looking for my very first Z: 1993-1995 Twin turbo Manual Sub 80,000 miles Preferably not red! I'm based in Northamptonshire. Thanks in advance!
  16. Ha! :2guns: I'd gotten very reasonable quotes for other 300zx TTs that I'd seen. But he seemed taken aback when I told him how low they were which made me want to check specifically with his car's details.
  17. That is indeed the number plate he gave. Nice detective work! Thanks, I fear it's going to take a while... Yer, it was quite a distance to go and view it. Shame, it looks like a good one.
  18. From what veilside01702 said, it does seem to have a lot of slightly askew factors to it that make me a bit tentative to pursue it!
  19. I contacted the seller a month or so ago about coming and viewing his 300zx. I asked for his reg so I could find out how much insurance would be, then the phone fell silent and he said that he didn't feel comfortable doing this and that he'd like to call it a day. So god knows what was going on there!
  20. Ah yes, well spotted! I guess it'd be best to walk away from this one then. So hard to find a good one!
  21. Hi I'm new to the forums and in the market for my first 300zx. I've come across one on Gumtree which I'm quite interested in (I can't stand the front bumper, but they rest of the specifications look very enticing): http://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-300-zx-twin-turbo-veilside-/1092481147 I've been speaking to the seller, and I was asking him what modifications I need to list for getting an insurance quote. He then proceeded to tell me that it was a Veilside made 300zx and therefore I wouldn't need to list any of the modifications. From a quick google of Veilside 300zx, and this doesn't look anyway near as meticulously tuned as those. Is this just a modded 300zx, and what are peoples thoughts on this particular 300zx anyway? Thanks in advance!
