  1. Saw a black 300 between livingston and the m8 at about 11:30 this morning. Had a spoiler on the back. I was coming towards you in a blue lorry from the m8, flashed a few times at you. First one ive seen this year.
  2. RH is still a knob (hes become like a childrens presenter) 'Mr Toad' joke from James was class, the last 20mins on the P45 was boring as hell.
  3. Lovely cars to drive, only been in the soft top and there isnt that much space inside. Would have to change the wheels exhaust and slam it down with some camber on the rear. The only bad things are the road tax, think after 2006 its £460 a year  and the interior is bloody horrible, everythings so plasticy and looks cheap not like the 370 where the interior looks like what you should get in a £30k car.
  4. Took me an 1hr 40mins to get from mansfield to notts the other day, usually takes 30mins in normal rush hour, it didnt snow all the way, no ice, just slush in the middle of the road, 2 nice wide tyre tracks to drive in and lots of snow on the verges. Theres just so many knob heads doing 5-10mph down the road, didnt see one crash, overtook 12 cars in the van (i was quite pleased about that). Top Gear need to do an episode on 'How to drive in an inch of snow on gritted roads', Some people take the piss.
  5. Nice wallet, no one really knows what a fairlady is anyway? It gets sad when you see mainly, scooby and porsche owners get out there cars and they have the cap, jacket, tshirt, shirt, bag, key ring, pen, diary. Its soooo sad imo.
  6. Is it possible to get a clear / see through bonnet? Thanks
  7. WOW! classic ins? When i last did my quote, i said it was parked on the drive, they said it would be cheaper on the street (i didnt ask about the garage, maybe thats best) so i say its parked on the street. If i go on the meerkat website i still get a range from £550 - £4500. And from what people get on here, it just goes to show its a right load of *****x.
  8. Gutted, i read your other post about insurance and wondered how old you were, have a word with Sky. I got mine for £550 all mods declared, 7 years ncb, one claim, although if i didnt park it at my dads it would be £3-400 more and i only live 10miles away. Parked on the road should make it cheaper too.
  9. Does anyone have their tv mounted on the wall? If so, how far off the floor is it? From floor to bottom of tv. Also going to drill a hole into the chimney to hang the wires out of sight. Can i extend the plug for the tv like extending any other plug or do i need special tv wire? Thanks
  10. I think it would look rubbish, theres one with rx8 lights in, that looks cool or just stick to the usual lights people put in.
  11. I was looking at giff gaff but with tesco (uses o2 too) i get a free phone, all be it a 24 month contract, and its £12.50 for 500mins, 5000texts and 500MB
  12. Im looking at a tariff on tesco mobile. I get 500MB a month. How long does that last? Ive had tinternet before on my phone and i must say i hardly ever used it, quick check on facebook and ebay which is what i'll probably use it for this time but id just like to know what i could do with it. Also, what are your views on the Samsung Galaxy Ace, good camera at 5mp thats all im interested in tbh. Thanks
  13. I used to make the bloody things! Used to work for NCH Mohawk in Ripley, they designed a new cleaning machine called the Torrent, leaked like ****. Cost around £1000 for one, was so expensive as it recycled all the dirty water so it was environmentally friendly or some *****x. Two american engineers invented it. One of the workers on the assembly line (had a degree in nuclear physics - thats the recession for you) had a huge argument with both of them about the electrics being wrong - he got the sack for making them look stupid, circuit boards were changed the following week. Right shit place to work. The machines were good apart from them all coming back to get fixed and when you can get one for a few £100 i could never understand who the hell was buying them.
  14. Thanks mate but i went to a mates who thought he had some but turned out to be torque bits so went down the road and bought some, job done now....... well engine still fitted in somewhere but those bolts are out :)
  15. Has anyone got any i can borrow in Mansfield / Nottingham area? Thanks.
  16. what he said, a bit of black on the front and maybe the wheels too? Id just stick to the same colour though.
  17. Funny how if your 22 and in a bright yellow 300zx, its totally against the law to go above 30 in a 30limit, race around town and have fun burning some rubber. seems like that around here with j27, mansfield circuit, notts circuit? But then again, if i was in a lambo, and i was bringing in lots of money to the country it would be ok?
  18. Ive got 2 of these, (key fob cameras) you have to check which way the lens is pointing first (which i didnt do) and charge them up for a while. Got a great vid of my del sol going round the nurburgring, although its missed all the right hand corners as the lens was facing to the left  The sound is good, you can hear that my oil pump has broken on the last 2 corners. Plus as you are not allowed cameras on your car around the ring, they are easy to hide, bit of double sided sticky tape to hold them on and a cable tie just incase the tape comes off. And micro sd cards are a couple of quid on amazon, so for a mighty £7, you can have a cheap yet good quality camera. (720p i think)
  19. Thats so cool, where did you get it from?
  20. Cool, thanks, i need some cheap carpet!!
  21. You overtook me and a white pick up driving through Glapwell in nottinghamshire, overtook you on the dual carriageway just before Pleasley pipping my horn a few times. I was in a Lupo. As it was dark i didnt see much of your car, but i did notice the rear lights, looked like the standard bar lights but masked to make them round?
  22. I dont have an original gear knob, but i have to press a button down (on the gear knob) to get it out of park.
  23. I wouldnt worry about the Germans not understanding, every time ive been to Germany everyone apart from the really old folks speak and understand English perfectly well. You could always have a translation on a projector going along at the same time your speaking
  24. hot wire it? although i dont think this will release the steering lock.
