:confused: Im crap at electronics Right, my amp and subs arnt working, spoke to madhamster at the weekend and he told me to get a volt meter and test the 2 wires that are loose to see which one has the power. simple. Ive got a volt meter, but what settings do i set it to? Ive got DC V, AC V, DC mA or ohms, also where do i put the red and black leads? Thanx

I fixed the car yesterday putting a new nissan alternator belt on. I went for a drive and it was fine, no squeaking at all, started it just now and its awful, the squeaking is really loud. Im gonna tighten the belt up now but how tight is tight? At the mo if you press on the belt it moves about 1/2". The other 2 belts are the same but they dont squeak.

My cars finally fixed again but i wont be coming down to this one, a bit to far away for me. I didnt look where it was until last night. I'll see you all at the next one.

Greg sent this to me, helped me loads air con belt.. slacken 14mm nut on front of ajustment pully, directly underneath there is a 12mm bolt, you need to have the car up to see it properly. Undo until pully wheel moves up this will then loosen the belt and can be removed with ease, replace the same way making sure the belt has sufficant tension P.S belt.. loosen 12mm ajuster nut on front of bracket, turn the crank around via pully 27mm socket required! So you can see the 14mm bolt through the centre of the power steering pump just loosen this slightly, from underneath the car look up and you will see a 12mm ajuster bolt loosen this right off now squeeze belt so it loosens, it may be tight so a pry bar in between PS pump and power steering bracket to move pump over enough to remove belt. alternator.. underneath slacken 12mm nut on back of alternator bracket, top of alternator there is a 17mm bolt loosen but dont remove, now back at bottom of alternator there is again a 12mm bolt loosen off a fair bit and knock alternator over so there is enough room to remove belt HTH greg time taken - 4 1/2hrs to get it off, 1hr to put it back together (and i have an engineering degree)

hahaha, thats like the first 300 i saw when i was thinking of buying one, ive never been able to find any other pics of it. Im not a big fan of the chrome wheels and i think it would look better if there where 2 holes in his bonnet buldge like nostrils.
