  1. Yep, we also had trouble at the Lord Ted, see the thread above, both myself and Z Evo Guy spoke to the manager and his attitude stank. He had been informed that we were going and he made a packet out of us with drinks and food, but as I said earlier, he had a very negative attitude. Dave
  2. It looks as though it will be Forge at Glenfield, have asked for details of who to contact, think it will the 30th September, can people people please put their names down, so that I can guage interest before contacting the Forge Cheers Dave
  3. Unfortunately, I am working, so please give my apologies to everyone Cheers Dave Midlands REO
  4. Yep, there were informed that we were going, the manager there had a very negative attitude, all he wanted to do was to put bums on seats and turn around as quickly as possible. He complained before and after people had eaten, even though it was pointed out that he had taken quite a bit of money from out meet, he still went on about his car park and that were were taking up spaces, when in fact we only took a small amount of spaces D
  5. I beleive that we booked a table last time at the Forge, is that correct, if so can someone let me have the phone number. I know that the Lord Ted @ Newark would be good for the S/W Yorks guys, but we did have a bit of bother with the manager there, who complained to both Jay and myself that we were taking up too many car parking spaces, so customers couldn't park. It was pointed out to him that, 1. There was plenty of car park spaces. 2. He got a lot of extra trade from our meet in the way of drinks and food. He was a complete jerk and couldn't see that. So personally I would go for the Forge@Glenfield
  6. Right have you any suggestions as to where we should meet on the 30th September, as you all probably know the better watering holes than I do, let me know and I will start a list and we will include the S/W Yorks, guys and gals
  7. Darn it Nick, you are ahead of me already over this one, see new thread, I have taken the liberty of putting your name down on the list. Cheers Dave
  8. It here again, lets see if we can beat the weather and have a good turn outa for this one: 1. Z Evo Guy50 2. Bantambunny
  9. Further to the above, let have some suggestions about a meeting place and I will see what i can organise, as you all probably know I have had some personal problems, but am trying tp put these to one side. So lets have some input and I will see what I can do Regards David
  10. Nick, just a quick message from the Warden and Staff @ Launde to say thanks for turning up today at the Beach Party. It looks as if today was the best day, and we have estimated around 500 people attended. So once again thanks for contribution. Cheers David

Not having a moan, but I have been trying to get Midlands members to come and support a car display on Monday at the Charitable Trust where I work, it is all in a good cause and will cost you nothing, there is a bar and ploughmans lunchs etc. So far only two members of the Midlands are attending, myself and Bantambunny, no good showing for the Club
  12. Congrats on the new arrival, hope mother and baby are well. Cheers David :smash:
  13. Nick, thanks mate, if you know of anyone who bring their cars, it would be appreciated even of they are not 300zx, perhaps some people of another Forum
  14. Can't be helped, looks as though there will only be Bantam and myself there, if there is anyone out there who fancies a day out FOC to show their cars off, please let me know ASAP Cheers Dave
  15. For those who have said they are attending this event, can you please confirm that you are definitely coming. If so you need to be at Launde no later than 10.15 on the Monday morning. I could do with a few more cars on display, so if you can coerse any more people to attend please do do. Regards David
  16. bump anymore surely we can do better than this

Hi All Midlands members. can I please draw your attention to the message from Steve, regarding the re-arranged AGM Cheers Dave Members, As you all know, we had to cancel our original annual summer event at Billing Aquadrome, due to bad weather. This event was to be shared along with the ZClub and other Zed related UK clubs, to join in the celebrations marking 30 years of the ZClub. Derek Sulley from the ZClub has been working non stop since the cancellation, trying to find an alternative date and venue. We are now in a position to confirm that the event will be held on the weekend Friday 7th ~ Sunday 9th September 2007. The NEW VENUE: Sherbrooke Scout Camp, Mansfield Lane, Calverton, NG14 6HP. This site has some excellent facilities. (Some will not be available to us this year due to other bookings but future events here look promising). We have a meadow to ourselves together with a large marquee. There is a toilet, washing and shower block. The site has 22 acres of grassland and a 5 acre wood if you want to get out and about. You will be able to camp or caravan and there is some on site accommodation available. eg. Fernwood lodge is a wooden clad portakabin type building having two rooms, the smaller sleeps 4 and the larger sleeps 10 for a rent of £75 per weekend. There are also on site caravans sleeping 5 for £40 per weekend. Local B & B’s are available but you must make your own arrangements. The agenda for the weekend will be exactly the same as was planned for Billing. The 300ZX.co.uk Annual General Meeting will be 16:00 on the Saturday. The Annual Club Awards will be Sunday afternoon. The Club Committee had booked 3 large attractions for Billing (Bucking Bronco, Sumo’s and Bungee Run) and we have managed to secure a re-arranged booking, meaning all the attractions will be at the new venue on the Saturday. On Saturday evening we will have some team sports and a social. Sunday will have the car show and another round of sports for those seeking revenge. Food will also be available throughout the weekend, courtesy of our resident club barbeque expert. There will be an entry fee of £5 per car and camping is £1.80 per person per night. You should be aware that this is a very active scout camp and young people will be about at all times. There are speed bumps and you must drive at less than 5mph with headlights and hazard lights switched on. We acknowledge that this confirmation is short notice, as the weekend is only five weeks away. We hope as many members as possible are able to make the weekend. Regards The 300ZX.co.uk Committee Location of ZEDFEST __________________
