Jay, Z Evo Guy, Bad News
Hi all fellow Mids members As a lot of you are aware, Jay was recently released form prison on licence having served part of his sentence. The bad news is that on Friday evening around 5.30, he was recalled to prison under Home Office orders and we do not know the reason why. He is currently in HMP Leicester and could be up to 6 weeks before he gets any real news as to why he has been recalled. I spoke with him this morning and he is as well as can be expected under the circumstance. I know that you will support him as much as you can in your thoughts, but also know that he would appreciate a letter or two from people on here telling him what is going on in the world of the Zed. Please send any letter to Mr J Jenner, PR5622 L1-9 HMP Leicester Welford Road Leicester LE2 7AJ If you do send him a letter, make sure that you put your address on top of the letter and also on the envelope, otherwise he will not receive them, also please include a stamped, addressed envelope so that he can reply to you. At the moment both myself and Charli, his girfriend, are still in a state of shock over what has happened, and as of yet have not decided whether or not to attend Silverstone next week. I ask you for your support over this and hopefully it will resolve itself. Kind regards to you all David

Due to lack of intital interest, it is now too late to get a stand, therefore suggest that any member wishing to go, make their own arrangements. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, we did say at the outset that we needed names asap, but as above the response was very poor. Cheers Jay and Dave

Launde Abbey Open Day - Monday 27th August
Hi All Yes I know August is a long way off at the moment, but I need to get something sorted for this one. As some of the Midlands members know, I have recently started a new job with Launde Abbey, which is a charitable trust. Every year a the fund raising group, called the Friends of Launde Abbey, hold a series of open days over the August Bank Holiday weekend to try and raise some much needed funds. We have been invited to attend the open day on the Monday which is the Bank Holiday Monday and show upto 6 of our cars during the day. The area where the cars will be stood is a gravel area and in a good position. These invitations are not given out lightly and personally I think that it is a good opportunity to show off our cars and help a worthy cause, and not jsut because I work there. Of course, myself and Z Evo Guy will be there with our car, so I can take up to another 5, but possibly up to 7. (If I talk nicely to the organiser) If anyone is interested, please put your name on the thread so that I guage response, and please do not forget you are helping a worthy cause. Kind regards Dave PS There is not cost to us as individuals or as a club, just the fuel to get you there and home again
