  1. So you dont want my spare bed then:winkiss: Again thanks Stu will try the weekend:cool3:
  2. It must be something silly, only happened since engine refitted. I must have a bad connection on one of the plugs....although wouldn't the conzult pick that up? Still nearly there just need to sort this and the pas, and i have been passed a few other things to try that could solve it.
  3. And me:blush::surrender: I have a spare bedroom:thumbup1:
  4. Spent over 4 hours sorting out boost leaks none present....double checked, like i said small one at rear but you can hardly hear it....injector hiss is louder.
  5. No........... revs going up to around 1300 drops down to 500 ...up....down...up... down, no boost leaks now as i have attended to them all [except the smallest of leaks back of engine which you have a job to hear] Checked all connections they seem fine, but will remove them again and check. Get this sorted and my pas and i will be happy as a pig in $hit:rockon:
  6. Constructive posts only please:tt2:
  7. Right i have attended to the boost leaks but car still hunting, attached the conzult to see if that gives any indication all seems normal except when i do an idle test it shots just out of the green then dips back into the red. Also try and do a balance test and when it gets to no2 car stalls any thoughts peeps:mellow:
  8. Hi Stu good afternoon, yes i noticed this before i got the car on 4 wheels, and thought it would be better when i drove it:blush: Belt was fitted correctly by a mechanic mate of mine who lent a hand to get the engine in and onto box. One thing i did notice last night and i am 95% but have been wrong before, the belt is on outer most part of crank pulley i am sure thats correct! Dave
  9. What i found/find confusing is...the cars were never designed to run on "fully synthetic" oil so why does every body go mad over it:confused1: I found it a complete minefield and stuck to what i always used, and recommended by the previous owner, every body has an opinion on this and to be fair imho seek out the questions direct from manufactures sites, i did and strangely enough i am running the car on oil that is recommended by that company. I think putting oil which is £80 a gal sounds good when you are in the pub bragging what you have but can get the right oil for a lot less thats my opinion anyhows. Of course if i am posting on here in the not to distant future about engine rebuilds i was wrong:oops:
  10. What do you think....you only have to look at his aviator picture:lol: looks a right orrible git:helpsmilie:
  11. Seems to be mate no hicas light on and speedo is ok, real strange problem
  12. Trying to Dave but its hard at the moment! Hope you are right as i have spent over 1k so far and done 173 miles in it!! I know its an awesome car and soooooooo much power its unbelievable! but i cannot keep spending money on it! and my time. Still i guess get another rack and all will be well, one thing though the blowing has nearly gone which is a bit weird .....good but weird.
  13. Been out driving tonight and it has resistance when turning left and right! Really un-nerving when trying to turn sharply, as i was finding out tonight. And to top it all passed a static speed camera van and looked down to see i was going around 36mph, so have to wait now to see if they punish me for that:angry: This may be my first points in 25 years of driving  So guys what do you reckon...replace it or what.............cannot believe the luck i am having with this car, may not be able to carry on as i haven't got the patience like i used to:no: and even the wife says i am different since YOU BROUGHT THAT CAR!
  14. Perspex is still there and beneath that a little bit of cardboard stuck together, i better replace as was then mate. Thanks for your help again, by the way another dopey question following on from the amp problem, how do i check earth resistance on the multimeter?? Dave
  15. Sooooooo back to my original question adding 5 PSI and getting a little hiss is this crucial or not?
  16. What a ****er i am you are right Joel i ment psi:yes:
  17. Just fixed a load.. never went over 5 bar! where would the leaks start from :headvswal
  18. Not when i fit them:clap::tt2: Not fitting any more [wonder way:lol:] stuck in the office in front of the phone which is not ringing any more and a computer........thank god for this site:punk:
  19. Read somewhere on here 5--7 bar thought was a bit high but what do i know i am only a heating engineer:lol: Stu can i ask how crucial is the protection around the twin pops! do i re fit or is/was it prevention better than the cure scenario:confused1:
  20. A very small one? Found 6 boost leaks some on pipes i removed but some on pipes i have not touched. I pressurize the system to 5 bar and there is a very slight hiss from rear of engine! i have moved pipes, removed/refitted pipes and loosened and tightened clips but cannot seem to sort, is this crucial. As i said very small hiss on 5 bar. Dave
  21. Looking good Nick:rockon: I looked into those steering wheels for my yella z but was told i needed a special hub kit because of hicas!! i went for a isotto from Luke in the end.
  22. Nah mate checked and bled from rear hicas, ................NEXT:lol:
