i wouldn't think a long standing member would hide major faults on a car he was selling, it's not even fair to presume it either

I bought my tt on the assumption as i was buying from someone who knew his zed's and his word was it was spot on for a tt and it'd be sorted before i got it and he wouldn't sell it to me till he knew it was 100%. 2 weeks later i had to foot a bill for 600 quid to sort the whole rear suspension out then i had problems with it running badly, the brakes have been creap and the discs need replacing and it's taken me till now to honestly say it's running alright. BUT i accepted that i bought it without checking it over myself and if he honestly believed the car was alright before he sold it to me then it wasn't his fault if it went wrong straight after. If you want to buy a car with some sort of backup then buy it from the garage for more money so you have some fall back. No point moaning about things that have gone wrong since buying it in my opinion. I'm almost happy with my zed now and the engine is excellent without any smoke and that's the important thing at the end of the day.
