  1. Cheers matey you're a star :D
  2. Sounds good to me matey, just need ot get a couple of cheques in and i'll be able to afford it.
  3. pmsl  Thanks lads for you all cheering me up, it's times like this i'm glad i'm a fully paid up member of this club. You're all stars :D
  4. fpmsl  Its a poke in the eye though matey after spending 500 quid the other week to sort it and find even more needs doing, it's never ending. I've just done all the brakes and put 4 brand spanking new tyres on it to find i need more tyres and more suspension work
  5. I once managed to get from ashby de-la zouch to cornwall in my NA zed at 62mph on cruise control on half a tank which worked out at 36mpg. I was impressed but it took a loooooooong time
  6. The 4 wheels need laser aligning badly, the right wheel is so far off you can see it with your eye, the car's leaning to one side so i think the springs are shot it and i've lost a brand new set of tyres in 4 weeks and 2000 miles Nah the club shouldn't have to sort out my problems, i was stupid enough to buy it so i'm stuck with it now
  7. *DROOL* oh don't mate, i've got me a craving for them lol
  8. pmsl  no hammers or angle grinders needed just drive it and it'll fall apart
  9. lol, cheeky sod
  10. Let me know when you're off bud i may have finished repairing my car by then and have some money to buy it off you  It would be ideal though, had a cav 2.0 8v for a while and it was a cracking car, pity it ate a bottle of oil every week and blew it out the exhaust pipe lol
  11. I like that matey, are you selling it?
  12. Take the fookers out :D Challenge them!
  13. pmsl  i'll look after them if you like matey ;)
  14. vr6 are just bad on the juice matey, they're not overly economical. Lovely cars though :D
  15. christ loads of replies :D lol PK1, mate that's a lovely offer but i wouldn't want you straining yourself at the mo... plus it'd be nice to be able to drive it afterwards lol Well i knew within a few weeks it was going to be a bad purchase but hey the colours good  Ah i'll have to sort it out unless someone has some space to break the sod? More expense When i finally have a couple of hundred free i'll get myself another reliable, bombproof granada scorpio and run that day to day but till then i'll just have to make do with the zed
  16. if it were a second car i wouldn't mind so much its just a huge drain on my income and i'm not clearing any debts plus my parents are always having a go at me about it
  17. I have to be honest i'm tempted to, should have followed my instincts and bought slick_pete's little red one while i had the chance and sold mine off
  18. yeah i know but if you spend peanuts you get monkeys and what i don't want is to end up with another lemon of a car
  19. i've actually been quicker in my na than my tt suprisingly enough lol :D
  20. That's the other option and to be honest i'd go out an buy myself my 8th granada scorpio if i could afford it but every penny i have is tied up in the zed atm. I'd have kept this civic for myself but sharon needs it more than me. I do love the zed more than any car i've owned and i'd swap it for an NA manual swb if i could but i'd need to sort this out first anyway and i'd be back to an unknown quantity again if i did.
  21. It's not a case of saving up though with petrol i've used 2/3 of my income on the zed and 1/3 on bills. I don't buy myself anything at all its just zed stuff :( lol, i won't get a chance sharon's going to be using it from day one :D
  22. Trying matey, really trying but i keep looking as it in the driveway and i think it's the last big job to do before i can start thinking about making it look any good and it seems so much money and so far away i'm struggling to justify it all or the 60+ quid a week in petrol i use just driving around
  23. pmsl  it's not the people it's the car matey. doing my head in
  24. Well my patience has been tested and i think it's gone with the purple nasty. I just don't think i want to chuck any more money at it :( i've spent nearly 2000 on it in the past couple of months and now it needs even more work doing. I think i'm going to break it cause it's worth naff all. I'll have a think about it first but to be honest it's been on my mind for a while now, the terrible fuel economy as a day to day car, the fact i never really get to drive it like i should do and the endless problems with the suspension especially the HICAS I should have never sold my NA, it was bombproof, and ever since i've had this car its in a much much worse state of repair, the interior's cack and the first mot it went for cost me 620 quid. Doomed from the start, so could be the end of zed ownership for me folks :( DEPRESSED BUNNY
  25. Is it a pre-made loom or is it just chopped wires?
