  1. Thank you Andrew, appreciate you having a look at it.
  2. Andrew, Sorry for the late reply. Here is a photo of the article. It is a four page article. The writer states new emission laws have killed off the car as it would require an extra cat near the exhaust manifold and it could not be made to fit the UK version of the Z32. I really wonder if Nissan's simply didn't think a market was still there to purchase the car had they spent the money for the change. It is found in AutoCar & Motor - May 25, 1994.
  3. I love my Altia Kick Plates. The bends/curves on the Altia better match the car. However, if you decide to sell your Altia's I will buy them. I'm looking for a spare set.
  4. Correct, regarding the focal points. I've seen guys try to stick LED bulbs into the Z32 project and it just doesn't work well at all in regards to focal points. Further many LED headlamps require the use of fans or heating film/lines (similar to the rear windshield) to work properly. Traditional headlamps, throw heat forward and away as infra-red radiation, LEDs need to loose heat by conduction from their rear by semiconductor-style heatsinking. With no heat at the front, LED headlamps can freeze over in icy weather. The solution is to use a fan, allowing a smaller heatsink, and get it to blow heat over the front glass.
  5. I did - it is also on my website/blog if you want to search for it. I also recently picked up a the Euro mounting plate, bar bracket/brace and the oil cooler hoses - used of course as these parts are no longer available and have been for a while now. Just haven't installed them yet. Looking into the oem return hose it appears the euro spec did not have the restrictor inside the hose as the USDM and JDM models do. Before I got this hose I transferred it to the new hoses that were supplied with the kit. If I can get some more confirmation from others here that the Euro spec hose did not have it that would be great. I also finally figured out why I had such a hard time getting a photo of the redesigned PS cooler setup from a UK member (I remember asking you as I believe you had a 94 model). The UK did not get the Z32 with the electric HICAS - even though everywhere else 94 models were the beginning of the electric HICAS. Parts records from Nissan indicate that 01/94 was the last production date for European RHD Z32's. However, I also have a UK magazine (that I'm expecting to receive in the mail any day now) that features an article about Nissan discontinuing the Z32 in the UK. I believe the date on it was May of 94. So not really sure what the last production date for the Z32 in the UK was, but imagine it was somewhere between Jan and May of 94. I found someone in Italy who was able to confirm for me the later model setup via photos. The plan is to adapt it to my Z as I too have a later model. I was also able to get a Euro PS cooler that wasn't totally rotten and was a able to clean it up nicely.
  6. I added the later model switches to my American Z32 recently. Full details at my link below but basically a little more work for me as I have LHD. Quick info: between 97-00 models they have very similar switches. In fact the passenger side switch is the same. Drivers side looks the same but carries two different part numbers, 97-98 and 99-00. The difference, the 99-00 takes a lot more parts and money to use in a 96 and down model. The 99-00 switch has an second plug on it for the additional use of "pinch protection". But to use this feature you also need the 99-00 regulator/motor and pw amp...extremely costly pieces. In fact you can't even make the 99-00 switch work without the other parts. I chose to go with the 97-98 drivers switch. It looks identical and works nearly the same with the exception of not having pinch protection. Similar to USDM Z32's it has Auto down but it also has Auto Up, something USDM models never got. I've heard from some that JDM cars had both even on the earlier switches but nevertheless the redesigned look of the switches helps update the car in my opinion. 7. Can someone confirm whether the stock European spec oil cooler hose has a restrictor inside it? The Japan and USDM smaller return hose (directly off the cooler) has a restrictor in the hose. I have a used european hose and it doesn't appear to have the restrictor in it but seeing I bought it used I have no clue who may have altered it, if it is supposed to have it. Thank you.
  8. Those are links simply to the basic manual. I was looking for the supplements manuals. Thank you though. I did however find them and purchased, should be coming in the mail soon. Thank you. Apparently there is a Supplements III and this one I'm still after if anyone know where I can locate one.
  9. Does anyone have a link or can send me supplements/complements 1 and 2 (the manuals beyond the basic manual)? Thank you, appreciate the help!
  10. I'm looking for stock/OEM heated seat switch and the adjustable/aiming headlight switch. I know the UK did not get the aiming headlights but sometimes parts move around and thought I'd ask. Thank you.
  11. Great, thank you. I have this clip and could not figure out how it attached.
  12. Hi, Does anyone know how the clip circled in red on the oem oil cooler line mounts? It appears like it might mount close to the condenser line somehow but not exactly sure. Thanks for the help. If any one has a photo they can share of how this clip is supposed to mount that would be extremely helpful. Thank you.
  13. Can someone with a European spec Z32 confirm for me whether the return hose coming off the oil cooler in front of the car has a restrictor? I know for certain JDM and USDM Z32's have a restrictor inside the hose but I wonder whether European Z32's also received it the stock hose even though they came with larger cooler. Because of the larger cooler the hoses are also different in lenght. Thank you.
  14. what did you do with your power steering cooler? I see the ps hoses from the cooler are hooked up to the HICAS solenoid valve.
  15. Andrew, Got it. what's your production date on your 94? Maybe you've got an early version 94 as the parts diagram shows they change the PS cooler setup once the Z when to electronic Hicas and they note 94+. Thank you for the help!
  16. Here is a pic of the parts diagram on a 94+. I imagine it changed as the Z went to electronic HICAS.
  17. Andrew thank you for the help. I have seen those photos before. I was hoping to find someone with a 94+ Z car to see the power steering cooler. The hoses and piping appear to be routed differently in front of the oil cooler as per the parts diagram and wanted to find a real photo of it. Seeing you had a 94 I was hoping you might be able to grab a quick photo. Once you are able to I'd really appreciate it!
  18. Hello, Can someone with a 94 and newer post a photo of their oem power steering cooler? This was a European spec oem feature and I believe it is routed differently on the 94 and newer Z's due to the 94+ having electric hicas. The power steering cooler is located in front of the oil cooler assembly. Thank you!
