Well i was working it out on the cost said as 250 by smithy so no need for ya to be getting ya knickers in a twist. And to refer to what i said originally i was talking bout the cost of the brackets ' in my opinion' and not anything factual. so jus to ad 2 Result(s) for "300zx Radiator" - 300ZX Koyo Cooling RadiatorNarrow Results By Catalog Type AllStock ReplacementPerformance/Accessory Showing 1-2 of 2 Results Sort By: Best Match Price Low to High Price High to Low App: 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX Brand: Koyo Cooling Radiator Part#: W0133-1721976 Description: List Price: $471.63 Our Price: $190.95 You Save: $280.68 Availability: In Stock Usually Delivers in 2 to 3 days Engine-Fits1990-1996: Turbo; All Engines and here .. Keep it COOL baby... Rad advice...
im not saying its not worth £200 all in , i jus think that £50 for brackets is a bit steep. And it was said that the radiator is half price of a koya radiator , but when u consider it isnt when its costing only £50 less is it???? I would say for 2 brackets regardless of how they are cut still is expensive at that price. You wouldnt go to a car garage and buy a car for £10,000 to be told if you want wheels on it so you can use it ur gonna have to spend 1/3rd of that again which is basically the same percentage of the brackets. Just my opinion thats all. If something is gonna be sold then sell it as a whole and not in parts when there are required to make it fit correctly.

Hi dan £50 for brackets for the radiator?????wtf???? thats a bit like saying the radiator is good value until you come to fit it and then you will be charged a huge sum for 2pieces of metal to hold it in place which actually makes it not such a good deal after all ,considering in my opinion they should be supplied as part of the radiator package in the first place.

the repair( picture heavy)
Hopefully there wont rot again, the wire wheel removes all the bad metal completely whether its bad on the inside or out, it rips apart bad metal leaving only good remaining. so they should last for years to come

the repair( picture heavy)
i used a wire wheel that goes on the angle grinder. It removes all the bad metal and just cleans up the good metal. Then i used p38 filler to get the shape sand roughly to shape and refill with a fie paste filler and sand with some 400-800 grit wet n dry paper.

the repair( picture heavy)

have got a bit further but still a lot of work left to do. bit by bit i will get there, lol also decided to smooth the doors at the bottom, damn it takes some time to get right and then do the wheel arch Some more prep work and then the side skirt can be fitted and smoothed into the side and then will nearly be ready for this side to be prepeped for painting.

tt tuning
are u sure???? a phrase from another thread from the guy who bought ur car "Well as you all know i purchased my zed from stella knowing its needing a new engine anyways. today the knocking got slightly louder(harder) and i think its over fueling as it is very very strong when driving the car, so i think its time to get some help and get it into a garage for work." zx engines are very unreliable when played with. just as mine and a load of others have proven to be without proper full rebuild work being done to make them reliable. becomes very expensive and alot of work.

piston ring size
I got the pistons off andy duff but he doesnt know where there were from. he just said there was from a engine he had and the original rings were no good and he didnt have them. I think there are same spec as standard but just oversize in width.
-
the repair( picture heavy)
well the zx has been off road for way too long now and while its been off road some t**t decided it was there right to climb on the back of the car and break the rear spoiler so last weekend i have been a bit busy with repairs. So on with a bit of fibreglassing back together And then some sanding(well quite a lot of sanding) and after a light coat of paint quite a good bit of weekend time spent on car. also had some rust so now have a huge hole in drivers side sill to repair so that should keep me busy for a while, lol

piston ring size
I have recently got myself some oversize pistons for the zx, but they have no rings on them. they are .02 oversize. can anyone please advise on the correct size rings to get for these and the correct size rebore required for the block so i can finally get my car back on the road again. thanks

Yeah it did go up slightly but thats my own fault for not upgrading the rad when i upped the boost, hence i eventually blew the head gasket. But thats nothing to do with the fmic, it was purely becouse i rag the hell out of it while running high boost.
