Been back on the elusive problem today. Checked all i can and now only getting code 55. Which is no malfunctions. Yet still not starting. There is fuel getting into the fuel rail, took a spark out again and its wet, so fuel must be getting through injectors.

as far as i can tell ye. Mikey bean did timing belt yesterday. Checked plugs today and all sparking. Released fuel pipe from filter and fuel shot out. So can only assume that its getting fuel.

There all sparking mate. Although will keep re-checking them. All plugs have been gapped and re cleaned again today so checked for spark then.

Read and replied bud.

Just been out to try starting without fuse in. Still no go. Never have i been fed up with my z before, but now im getting proper fed up with it. 4yrs of work and its just sitting there refusing to play....

fan doesnt usually come on when using ignition. Just when spinning the cas wheel.

Thankyou ian that would be very helpfull. The small fuse box at rear of bay has had all the fuses checked and are fine. mike bean thibks i should try another ecu. the car has always been a uk manual. The fuel pump is priming, so i assume that would mean it is working properly. Thankyou everyone for the replies. keep them coming as i will be trying all suggestions i havnt tried upto now.

Cas is working, checked that today. Coilpacks are making spark plugs spark. Im really at a loss at moment.

spark plugs are sparking, ptu was off a series 1(working).

Just a thought but would a unplugged reverse sensor stop car from starting??. My cars a uk manual with a import manual box on it, but didnt plug in that sensor as its broken on connector on gearbox.

Got code 21 on ecu test. Cars trying to start, injectors are firing, and have changed ptu. Still wont fire up.

Have tested the cas unit today. Result - its firing injectors and electric fan. Also changed the PTU and still same result. Its turning over, firing injectors and still has same code 21 error on ECU. Any more ideas please?.

Tell adrian flux its modified, with them it reduces the price. Thats what im having to do with mine. Dont know how ppl on here are getting these lo quotes, unless there only insuring it as a 2nd car for only 1000miles a year. Cos mine was £350 with flux and is now £980.

Just done ecu test and it just has 1 error showing. Code 21 ignition signal circuit.

Got that one on. will be trying again this morning. If it doesnt work his time i'll be changing cas unit(think i got a spare one somewhere)
