Ive taken 5engines out and never once needed to drop the subframe. Split the gearbox and its a whole lot easier.

Link the ond youve found o ebay onto here. Someone may of seen them and give you advice about the one you like instead of naming every other make but the one youve asked about. Personnally ive not heard of audiovox, but its most likely gonna be the same internals as some mainstream equivalent.

I like it. Looks smooth. Just wish twinz stuff was more realistically priced and available without problems from the uk.

Did it get rid of the knock sensor fault?

Plenums are all the same, just the balance bar that differs between tt and na.

Will do a boost leak test in morning and see what outcome is. The misfire continurs on after the revs have dropped. But restart engine and it dissapears.

Your having similar problems to mine. Hope someone can help cos im stuck with it same as u are.

The connectors were all cleaned before refitting engine 700 miles ago, but i'll give them another looking at. Ptu is a series 1. Its not showing any other faults other than knock sensor on consult. Is there any chance that the avcr is causing any contributing factors due to it not treading the revs correctly?? I know that wouldnt have owt to do with the cooling issues but maybe the electricals could interfere with the car.

Having a few issues latley. Here are the problems Engine refuses to boost above 3-4000rpm. Started to show knock sensor error engines misfires once taken upto 4000rpm. Temp gets high 99° but then goes back to 80° Fitted a 1mega ohm 2watt resistor in place of knock sensor. Replacing knock sensor isnt a option as im not stripping it all down again. Done a sniffer test and headgasket is fine. stop car and restart it and the misfire dissapears. Any ideas please?

This is how it will look after a good hr of polishing. Worth the effort me thinks.

Strip the throttle body down to its core. Polishes really easily then as u have full access to it all. Take a pic of how it goes together before you start to strip it down.

Was speaking to a few 350z owners tonight at a local meet. They have all said the same, a 359 over a 300 is a dissapointment. But they changed car for same reason im thinking about with it... its age. My z is now 22 yr old, now compare that to a 8yr old car and which is gonna last me the longest now. I like the interior of the 350, but exterior looks the 300 is way nicer.

Paint or vinyl wrap?? Whats peoples thoughts on the 2options? I know that realistically paint would be the natural option but would a vinyl wrap really be worth the money over a paint job? Personnally ive always wanted a mirror chrome candy apple red paint job. Starting at the bottom as chrome effeft then fading into chrome candy red and back to chrome at the top. In paint this would be around the 6-8k price mark. So if the same effect was say 2-3k in a vinyl wrap with a 10yr life span would it be worth it and would it look as good?.

I think maybe trying out a 350 z that might be a good idea. Any offers,lol.

its in need of a very little bodywork to smooth off and a full respray. would be a very nice zed then.

Ive got hks hypermax d coilovers on. Problem is it needs the stiff suspension for the wheels i have on it. I really would'nt want to change the wheels as there are really nice looking on it. If i could get same wheels in nissan fitment(mine are off a toyota supra) then i could fit some standard suspension again. The nearest wheels ive seen to mine were on DavesZed car. It was almost the same looking as mine,lol.

Having a debate with my mind latley. I love my zx but i think my age is showing through. Im not feeling the need or want for the rock hard drive that i have and are thinking of selling and getting a 350z. But keep thinking that as soon as it goes i will regret it. Ive been to hell and back getting it back on the road and have put almost 20k in her in mods and repairs. I know another 4k will probably see it finished but really dont know if i should keep putting money in or just sell as it is.
