saw a red zed on the a1307 just past the linton bypass going towards abington at about 5pm. any one on here?

it's snowing in cambridge now. and i was about to go and remove my ecu. think i'll wait ill it gets a bit warmer!!

just cleaned my throttle bodies. really makes a difference. once it warmed up the revs dropped right down. :D took me about half an hour to do it.

if i had 10k i'd do something interesting or different like a supercharger or a v8 conversion. depends how far it would go!!

just had a thought. can the socket be installed onto the ecu without a chip being fitted? ie. can i use my ecu as normal with a socket until i'm ready to fit the chip, then just put the chip in the socket?

not a bad idea. just doing a bit of reseach to see where to go next and approx how much its going to cost me. suspension and brakes are next.

sounds cool. how much would it cost and would there be any chance to adapt it after its been fitted?

never has bothered me having a high mileage car. and 123000 miles in 15yrs ain't really that much. how many bmw's, audi's etc cover that in 3 yrs!!

any idea where i could get hold of a chip for the tt injectors? would the chip be easy to install myself or should i get a pro to do it? cheers

i agree. there are so many people with a 'better' car than mine but i don't care. my car is my car and i love it more than than i love my girlfriend (she is aware of this). i just love talking to a fellow petrolhead. don't care if its 16 yrs old. my brother now has my dads triumph tr6 (1971) and the sound of te 2.5l straight six is all you need. every car should be taken on its merits. even poopras!!

lol NO!! i have an n/a and every time it has been on my brothers ramp at his work is when i needed to fix it!! (exhaust (middle and rear sections blowing), starter motor, alternator, ignition coils and it's been to zedworld for a cambelt change). floods itself all the time (need to clean the throttle bodies). i love my car but it's not reliable. maybe i'm just unlucky :( fair do's to my brother tho he never complains :bow: :duffer: he removed my alternator on his birthday (dec 19th and v cold on our driveway) and fitted it when repaired 2 days later. alex
