  1. Think of the bandwidth! Queue Glenn with a photo of some retards.
  2. Like the spec, but not the look. Never really been a fan of the cabrio. Just doesn't look right especially with that ungainly kit on it. Only really seen wide arch one that looks good, but would sooner have a targa body with that mech spec.
  3. Very little though. A front splitter would create the downforce. You have a very small area on top of the wing and little in the way of structural support. I can see your point, but you'd need to make pretty drastic modifications for airflow in the wheel well itself. I was sighting the viper wing as an example. ;)
  4. They just look out of place. There's nothing there that they cool. They are just holes in a wing that break up the nice clean smooth lines along the sides and bonnet of the car.
  5. Crikey! Shame that things aren't working out. Seems to be a large bunch of people in the area, you get the best weather in the UK and there are some nice coastal spots/roads in that area too. Seems sad that no one seems bothered even about the summer stuff.
  6. Of course, but there are nice and ugly options for those. vents in front wings however are no use to man nor beast.
  7. on both accounts. The enthusiasts over there do have the nicest bunch of cars. There are some shockers in the US, but the Z enthusiasts keep their cars clean and to the point and they are very protective over the shape and look of the original car.
  8. Seen that over on 3ZC before Dave. One of the very nicest I have seen. My idea of Z perfection. No ugly cheese grater wings, pointless vents, stupid doors or ugly bumpers etc on this baby.
  9. You'd be rolling around in agony mate, so don't think you'd be up to getting someone in a headlock with your testicles pushed into your stomach! LOL Yeah, we do agree.....although lambo door still look and are shite! In a big way! They loose functionality and look ridiculous.
  10. I'd kick you in the *****cks if you did! LOL I know what you mean. It looks like it's had a lot of thought gone into it. Panel gaps look good, everything seems to compliment the car rather than trying to make it look 'different'. I like it a lot.
  11. Smithy's looks far from 'it just rolled off the production line' Way off from it. But it does look very very nice. It didn't used to look that nice, but his current changes have made it one of the nicest modified Zs on the forum.
  12. Modding is changing something that wasn't originally there. There's subtle modding and OTT modding. IMHO, OTT modding is just following the Max Power route. It's instant and easy stuff. Nothing imaginative or different really. It makes the car different looking, but the idea isn't different. Billy bolt on stuff and a lot of people change things just for the sake of changing stuff. Not always thinking if it looks good or not, which is why there are so many modified abortions on Britain's roads today. We can thank Lax Power and Fast and Spurious for that! A heavily modified car can look pretty stock. It can have a crazy engine, it's still classed as modded regardless of whether it has half a boat grafted onto it. I do like modified cars. But there are different types of modifications that I like over others.
  13. My Z isn't standard though. Aftermarket rims, suspension, exhaust, new interior. Added my own personal touches along the way, such as smoothed rockguard. All subtle stuff. It still looks like a Z from all angles.
  14. Looks good. Needs and inch off the spoiler legs and some 99-spec rear lights and you're set. :duffer:
  15. Anyone doing anything wild and wonderful? We're just going out to a funky underground Lebanese restaurant. Were going to get out of the country for a few days, but decided against that.
  16. I'm not afraid to be different. Far from it. I bought the Z to be different. I choose to keep it looking pretty much as Nissan indented it to, not because I am scared to change it, but because it's such a pretty design. It's like trying to give Angelina Jolie loads of plastic surgery. Has nothing to do with being scared of change, just more to do with wanting to keep something looking beautiful and functional. Look how Karl300zx's turned out!! :nelson: My last car was pretty heavily modified actually. Not so much to look at, but modified none the less.

  18. Having taste and being different are two different things. ;)
  19. I've seen those. I'd sooner have a discrete interior illuminated door handle. Similar to the ones introduced on the mk1 Mondeos. Kinda flush fit in the shroud so you couldn't see them, but illuminated the handle when the lights were on. Something I may do in conjunction with the Terrano 2 door handles and 99-spec electric window switches which are also illuminated.
  20. Not as yet mate. I have got to pop into the trim shop tomorrow and have a chat with them. I have got a spare driver's seat which I am going to strip and fit the electrics to my passenger seat, along with a LHD control panel.
  21. Wrong with what? Flat shoes look bad ...period.
  22. I certainly won't be putting a drill anywhere near the bodywork! LOL
