  1. It's only been out of action for about a week since I've had it (coming up 3 years this summer). All good here. It's off the road at the mo as I have taken the tax off. Because I'm sorting the interior and the suspension...and cause it's winter. Not sure if that counts.
  2. I should be able to use my existing HICAS boss shouldn't I?
  3. Seen the Z33 steering wheel in the Z32 and it looks so out of place, the materials and design are just such a clash with each other. Both look nice, but they don't work well together. Momo Millenium looks a bit bling/cheesey. They all do feel really nice. Perfect feel etc. I agree, I'm picky about wheels. I think something more old-skool tends to look better. I like some of the old Nardi torino wheels too.
  4. Me neither. Kinda apprehensive about it all. Dunno why, it's gotta look better than tweed. I dunno, I just want it to all work, colours, fit, etc etc etc. Without seeing it in the car after all the work, I'll never be able to tell.
  5. It's a shame mine's a series 1. I don't like the early stock steering wheels. You've got the airbag wheel in yours which I'd not change either. Rear seats are out, all the dash trim, centre console and rear quarters are at the trim shop. Having quite a few things done to them, not just stuck on. I am having edges double stitched, but still unsure as to whether I am going to having black stitching on the dove grey leather. Thinking of sticking with grey on grey. I have contrasting stitching on the charcoal grey bolsters though.
  6. Currently have a Momo Race in mine. I really like it. But fancy a change. Always liked the 'Daytona' 4 spoke. I think it looks a little more luxurious and since I'm retrimming my interior at the mo, I thought it might be a nice addition. Still not entirely sure, but something I am thinking about. Anyone got this wheel? 365mm is the one I'm looking at which is the smaller size I think, same size as my 'Race' which is perfect. My interior...although only half of it is in the car at the moment. lol
  7. 5 m2? That's huge. That's like an entire hide. You should be able to do the cards and everthing else with that.
  8. 'Boot struts' for ease of use. ;) They aren't hydraulic either. ;)
  9. Ignore the stage system. It's unreliable. So many variables and most of them are just down to someone stating their car is a Stage 4 or whatever. Walk away from the terminology.
  10. Stillen made their own stage chart. SGP made their own stage chart. Many others have their own version, and some individuals just use their own judgement. The entire thing works in the sense that one valid stage chart would help when comparing two vehicles. However, with so many published versions and other improvisational versions. There is no use for them unless someone knows to which chart you are referring. Rolling road figures is where it's at!
  11. No problems now. Managed to log in. Payment made to wheelchoice. Should be getting my twin din centre section from Z32-zone now!
  12. Proving to be a bugger! Trying to pay for my double DIN consol from Z32-zone! Grrrrrrrrr
  13. Anyone having problems logging onto paypal? Keep getting 'We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please click Retry or try again later. We apologise for the inconvenience. Message 3004'
  14. Why would you want to go and have a look at that? I'd sooner go stare at rotting dog poop.
  15. Jap. Yeah, it was a shame totally.
  16. Two thumbs down. They are nicer than the viper wings. Viper wings are not nice.
  17. Keep your current one. LOTS nicer.
  18. Not in 'real' Europe! LOL, they are still going fo £5 - 6k. Go to France and Germany and they are going sometimes £7K - £8K. They are only really worthless in the UK and Australia/New Zealand. US they still fetch $10,000 for a good one, that's about £5k...but in an economy which is 2:1 against us, it's the equivalent to £10k.
  19. I do like the touchscreen ones, but don't want something overly complicated. Want something that's kinda visible when switched off. I'm not going for a huge ICE install as it is, just direct replacement speakers, decent headunit,. dynamat everything when the interior comes out this week and a small sub in the boot. It's either the Alpine one above or a Kenwood DPX. The thing I like about this is that it has whitey blue illumination similar to the illumination of the current controls. It's also black and will blend in nicely with the colour of the surround. The Apline one is my favourite though.
  20. There's very little I'd part the Z for. I shall keep it. Even as a relic when I'm driving something better. Priorities is another kettle of fish and I hope I don't have reason to ever sell mine.
  21. The mussel area, maybe it's muzzle is the area from nose to eyes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snout
  22. No, mussles...as in the head area. Not muscles!!!
  23. Gunk in the oil cap isn't always a sign of HG failure. If you do lots of short journeys, it could be condensation that's not given a chance to burn off. Have you checked the coolant level? I wouldn't trust an ebay HG set though.
