  1. Mugabe must die! /thread
  2. I'm still undecided regarding the looks. Don't dislike it, but nothing really draws me to it visually. Performance wise though, what a fookin beast! Do you think they'll ever make an NA version? hehe ;)
  3. Wouldn't touch those ebay cheapies with a barge pole. Why scrimp and save over something so critical??
  4. Unless you're actually going to put a complimentary bodykit on the Z then just fitting an aftermarket rear bumper on it's own will look really odd. If I was starting again and going for a kit, I'd choose the Kaminari rear bumper, Stillen type II side skirts and front bumper extension. There are precious few bodykits that suit the Z anyway, but the above compliment the shape and lines that the car came with. Stillen type II rear bumper is quite nice too, but I prefer the Kaminari rear.
  5. .....I can sit and watch a movie in the Z whilst I wait to board the ship! Propper bo I tell thee!
  6. Oh I know, I've taken the Z over about 5 times now, just at a bit of a quandry that's all. I love France though, been over 20+ times. Drove down to the Vendée when I was 18! lol
  7. Because I think the thread title said 'bumbar'?
  8. It's quite good fun that bridge. As you drive up to it, it feels like you're able to drive vertically up a wall!
  9. Good luck mate though which ever choice you have to make. It's a hard one I know, but you're doing it with your best intensions in the circumstance you're in.
  10. No, but I think the bridge you're talking about is the HUGE Pont de Normandy bridge as you head out over the Seine driving out of LeHavre? I'm certainly not going as far south as the Mallau bridge either! LOL
  11. Sorry to hear that mate. I went through a similar thing when I was in my early 20s. Now approaching 30, I'm quite stable and reasonably well off. It will get better and believe you me, it makes you stronger. I went through periods of severe depression about my money situation. It sucks, but you'll be fine, hang in there. If you do sell the Z, then I am sure you'll buy another, if you do break it, then you know who has first dibs on that spoiler. If you sell to someone else, then I'll come and lay a great big hairy poo on the bonnet of the Scorpio!! ;)
  12. Feel like going for another random long drive in the Z. France is the easiest option as per usual. Can't get a better combination of lack of traffic, scenery and good roads anywhere else in the world almost! LOL Considering going out tonight on the Ferry over to Caen, then drive through the Normandy countryside tomorrow. Stop off with some of my French friends for lunch near Le Mans then head back and drive up the Cherbourg peninsular to Cherbourg itself before taking the fast-cat back to Portsmouth. Weather looks reasonably favourable, but, I am starting to run out of cash! I can afford it no problem, I just have the US to watch for as I'm off to California next month. That's going to cost me quite a bit. Already shelled out over £1,000 and I haven't even booked any accommodation yet! After my over budget spend on the Z this year by a good couple of grand, not sure I can justify it! I'm also considering Z fest too, so another longish distance.
  13. I'd have the 850 too. As much as I can appreciate the Evos, I just don't find them visually appealing at all really. The new Evo 10 looks good, but I'm never in awe at the appearance of compact sport saloons. The Skyline is good, but let's face it, they are hardly exclusive anymore. 840 or 850 would be the one I'd have without questions. They have HUGE road presence, the engines are good and strong, you hardly ever see them on the roads (probably as much as Zs). Put a supercharger on either and a good exhaust and they are transformed from swift GTs to monsters! The 8 series was one of my 'final 3' when choosing the Z and I'd not hesitate at getting one. Would have to be an 840 though with manual transmission. AFAIK, the 850 was auto only.
  14. Budapest is a great place. Most of my family are Hungarian and live in and around the City, as well as a few that live near Lake Balaton. (Mother's side of the family is Hungarian). Hungary in general has some of the most beautiful women in Europe! Whenever anyone I know comes back from the place, one of the first comments is 'the women are really hot'. Mind you, it doesn't take much to find better looking women than those that live over here!
  15. I used one entire hide of leather. Personally wouldn't use vinyl. There is some vinyl on the leather skins like on the production model, but vinyl doesn't feel the same, lay the same or smell the same. Plus it can look shiney. Good if you want it done on a budget as from a distance it can look just as good. It's also easier to work with than leather if you're simply stretching it over the door cards. You can't really do that with leather and everything has to be cut/sewn to shape.
  16. What I don't understand is, why, if it's coming from Japan, built by a Japanese race team, is it LHD?
  17. Front bumper really isn't my thing, but the rest looks fantastic. Rear bumper looks very very good. Nice work.
  18. I'm in Solihull tomorrow night, but alas, not on Thursday night. Hope all goes well though Leigh.
  19. ....if you're still having problems next week, let me know as I'll be in and around Essex.
  20. Yes, you've probably bent the tabs on the door skin when removing them originally.
  21. Sorry mate, but that's a pretty dumb thing to say. Bit like saying 'it's just oil'. Other than det problems melting pistons, oil contamination is the single biggest thing to cause engine failure, scored pistons, bearings etc. It's paramount you have a good lubrication system and a good level of filtration. If you're using a crap filter with poor efficiency and low dirt holding capacity, you could be storing up problems. Sure, tolerances in engines are nowhere near as tight as say, a hydraulic system where expensive stress resistant filters running at extreme high pressures are critical, but the theory is still there.
  22. Yes please. Also, where did you get yours from?
  23. You are joking surely. The Veilside NSX is a beautiful car RUINED!
