  1. Just a shame those bosch wipers have that huge knuckle in the middle of them.
  2. 21" for the front is stock size. 22" will fit.
  3. Didn't realise so many people were driving around with 2 sets of HID dipped beams on their cars.
  4. You're actually going to blind people if you have anymore light. Seriously, do you really need them?
  5. Why don't you just fit HIDs? You won't have fanny around at all with any of that then. I find I don't even need my main beam on with HIDs.
  6. Fit HIDs and you'll have no problem.
  7. that's even funnier! GTO has V6 engine.
  8. hahaha lol. That made my day.
  9. That was a Peugeot 106 was wasn't it?
  10. No UK foglights are in the rear bumper. JDM foglights are front facing.
  11. Yeah, you were a lucky bugger with that car!
  12. Read to make you feel more intelligent. http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/238388.aspx What a chump!
  13. Probably because you can't. Bit like trying to eliminate hail damage to cars. Not feasible. There's only so much you can do to protect a jet engine before it becomes inefficient. It's rare for a bird strike to bring down a plane (ie knock more than one engine out). The chances of it happening aren't there to bother trying to protect it. Only an issue on take-off and landing. Aeroplanes travel at a much higher altitude than birds.
  14. Whilst I've never been awestruck with the looks of the Evo, it is an impressive machine. How Mitsubishi can get that amount of power out of a 4 cylinder engine is beyond me. They have a very very good AWD system and handle very well. I find do them ugly (apart from the new Evo10/Lancer), but they are a special car. Also, the GTR, whilst again, IMO, it doesn't look as good as the Z, you really need to go in one to appreciate them. I did in the US last year and was blown away by it, despite its lacklustre interior and questionable styling.
  15. Not that bothered as the Evo has never been a car I've ever wanted despite its amazing mechanicals. What's nice to see is that our own KarlosG even has a crap opinion of them. http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=175336&highlight=300zx Was just looking for the Momo steering wheel as fitted to the Evo3.
  16. Exactly, I suggested that about 3 pages back. I don't think they are (although I think they've stabalised), but the opportunity of finding good examples is getting much harder and those are the cars that are still worth decent money for. I wouldn't pay £9k for a Z. Maybe a rare 99-spec version-R I would. But I'd certainly pay good money for a stunner.
  17. Like I said, Zs that tend to go on ebay are tired/people that want a quick sell. Highest bidders generally aren't going to pay what an enthusiast would on a known car in tip-top condition and vice versa, enthusiasts with tip-top condition Zs aren't going to let them go for a song on ebay unless they have to.
  18. I wouldn't buy an ebay Z nor would I ever put my Z on ebay and the cars that tend to go up are ones that people want to get rid of quickly. I wouldn't base any value on stuff that sells on ebay what so ever. Same goes for regular car auctions. Invariably, Z-wise, it's for a quick sale, crap/deathtrap or both. Ebay certainly isn't the place to guestimate market values as it's so hit-miss. You 'can' find good Zs on ebay, but IMO, it's a gamble.
  19. You can say the same about EVERYTHING and if everyone had that outlook, everyone would be just giving stuff away for free. I don't think new Perodua Kelisas are worth £5k, but it doesn't mean the market can't ask that for them. Something like a Z is only worth what people are prepared to pay (being an enthusiasts car). I'd still pay £4k - £5k for a really good manual TT. Just because you think they are worth sod all, doesn't mean they don't still have a value. :)
  20. I agree to an extent, but a clean black Z is as beautiful as any other colour IMO.
  21. Not much point in that case. It'll just be a big red lump or big blue lump.
  22. If it's a shabby one yes, but totally disagree. infinitely nicer than disability-blue.
