  1. It does from some angles and doesn't from others. It looks best from a rear end point of view as the drop sides of the spoiler blend in well with rear quarters. But know what you mean. There are few spoilers I like for the Z anyway. The M30Z is about my favourite.
  2. You got rust issues on yours then? Where in Wilts are you?
  3. White wheels with polished lip on white cars are about the only combination where white wheels work IMO. The JWT Z32 test car has a set of Work Equip in white and they look good (on a white car too). I'd be tempted to keep yours though. Just get a fresh coat of paint on them. :)
  4. Cool! My GF is a dog lover too. She used to take her Doberman to shows. Won lots of rosettes etc.
  5. Hell no, they wouldn't give me admin rights! I push the boundaries too much with my mouth and opinions! I'm just a mincey sideline voyeur! I have a 99-spec. ;) I've always liked the original spoiler too.
  6. Mine is running on Tein S-tech springs. Lowers the car around 20 - 30mm. Wouldn't mind it a touch lower, but happy enough. :)
  7. Rear spoiler on the black one is a stock spoiler. What one have you got? The things attached to the back bumper are just the JDM mudflaps or 'spats' as some people call them. I think JoelyP had a set for sale. Could subscribe and PM him/ ;)
  8. Ohlins stuff is pretty decent quality! Love it with the Supra wheels on it. Suits the car so well. First time I've seen it done. Offset is perfect!
  9. He doesn't know what colour to paint it, that's why he's asking. lol ;)
  10. Japan....the wheels are custom work Equip. Make sure you have deeeeeeeeeeeep pockets! ;)
  11. Cool....although I do like your current one, but your car will visually now look near identical to a 99-spec.
  12. That's generally how they do it anyway. A pearl paint has a solid base coat, then a layer of coloured lacquer before its final top coat of clear lacquer. Number of layers of coloured lacquer can determine depth of pearl glow and if you add different colours of coloured lacquer, you'll get the flip colour change. Anyway, nothing wrong with solid black! FYI, the rockgaurd is the horrible stone chip effect moulding in the plastics on the lower halfs of the bumpers and also the stone-chip effect on the sills on the dropsides. It's one of the very few things I detest about the Z32, along with the horrible horns and flimsey Nissan Micra Collette style indicator stalk. I had all my rockgaurd removed and it looks a lot better for it. Pics....
  13. Please please for God sake don't go down the metaflake/glitter effect route as it'll make your car look like a fairground ride. I think you want a 'flip' paint as opposed to metal flake. I'd say go with a gold or purple flip on it. Think a red flip might be a little garish, but would be interesting to see. I'd be tempted to do it just a nice glossy metallic black. Amazing the difference a fresh coat of paint does for a car. Have you thought about getting the rock-guard smoothed? It's a noticable mod on dark coloured cars and gives the car a much more crisp look. I've done it on mine.
  14. Good ones are starting to fetch really good money now though. Rusty ones, not so much, but decent MK1 MR2s are in demand again. They sure do, that's really nice! You going to get the later front indicators (clear)? Have any larger photos of it?
  15. Are those Supra wheels on it? Really suit the car.
  16. Agree on that point too. I loved these as a kid, but then as I grew up, I started thinking it looked ugly, but now I think it's retro-cool and has gained an almost 'classic' status. Try finding one with no rust though!
  17. Arrr roite! Cheers Athene. :)
  18. Imo, Toyota lost the plot with the current one. They turned a mid engined sports car into a midengined turboless girly roadster.
  19. Didn't Coopers-SWB get banned for a while last month?
  20. I've started liking the MR2 again. Go through phases of liking/disliking cars. Like the Z32, there are so many poorly modified/tatty examples that it puts a downer on the car as a whole. I go through the same thought process with how I feel about the Z as well. I don't think I will EVER like the current one though. Ugly plastic looking frog thing. :hurl: BUT, stuff like this makes me like MR2s
  21. Welcome! Having Zedworld close by is a huge bonus. Good luck with Z hunting. Jeff might even be able to find you a car.
  22. ....and a good protein shake for breakfast! :wack:
  23. She isn't 'that' great though. Looks like she's suffering from a bit of jaundess or she's lacking a bit of vitamin C....maybe it's just the light...lol
