best colour for a Z
If I wanted to go for a non-Nissan colour, I'd look at Alfa's 'Nuvelo Blue'. Do a search on here for that. I posted some photos a while back. It's a light metallic blue with a subtle gold flip in it. There is a guy nr me with an R33 painted this colour and it looks stunning.

Silver is a great colour and timeless. I'd love a silver Z.

Front end aside, this is nice and the colour you're looking at. Nice colour.

The great insurance thread 2009!
Broadsure direct is who I have my policy with now. Unlimited mileage and I was paying £500pa.

The great insurance thread 2009!
Similar age to me? You're old enough to be my Dad...just. ;) You're almost the same as me price-wise. I live in the country in an extreme low-rate area. So I guess I'm lucky in that respect. My car's also garaged every night.

classic insurance
I think it's just a case of knowing who to call. I've never heard of Lynbrook. I've started up a new insurance thread to throw ideas round as to who seems the best for each age range and state of use etc.

The great insurance thread 2009!
Oh, so it's been a while since we had an insurance roundup. I've just had a very impressive quotation from Lyndbrook who I'll be changing my insurance to next month saving me £200+ on my existing policy. I go from having unlimited mileage to a limit of 5k a year, which is no biggy as I do about that anyway, in fact, I probably do 3,000 a year. So, let's have every one's age, the state of their licence/no claims, what you're paying, what you get and who you're with. Funkysi: 30 : 91 JDM TT: Full no claims + clean licence. Garaged, limited mileage (5K on classic 2nd car policy), all mods declared £285 fully comprehensive. Lynbrook.

Got me a 300zx
Nooooo! Get some nice skirts and fit those. :)

Got me a 300zx
Shame about the front bumper, but I like the car itself. Good luck with it all. :duffer: Glad you're ditching the single can. Can't stand the single exit exhausts and they don't sound anywhere near as the nice deep 'v' rumble you get from twins.

Nope, it's £500 per year....which, at the time of taking it out, thought was quite good. TBH, wished I'd phoned around this time last year! Policy is due for renewal soon anyway.

Just been quoted £285 with these guys. All mods declared. Not bad. Will call Carol Nash and see if there's any difference. Saving me £20 a month, can't be bad!

You must have been pulling out of the roundabout as I entered it I guess.

Got the single turbo version.... oops
Hi, All Z31 turbos are single turbo.....all Z32 turbos are twin. This site caters for the Z32 really. I quite like Z31s now, never use to, but they need some slight fettling to make them look good and it's not that difficult. US guys seem to have the look sorted. Some really nice ones over there. You'll get most of the best info from either Zclub.net or 300zxclub.com

Rarerims arrive!
Be quite nice to have a wheel trader on here, especially if you cover other wheels too. Wheels can make or break a car (regardless of whether they are £500 or £5,000 rims) and it'll be only of benefit to have someone that can supply correct fitment wheels and associated information etc. Seen so many Z32s ruined because of poor wheel choice/offset giving a rubbish stance. I'm a stickler for wheel fitment. :)

They are on their website.

Quite like the look of the new GTLM because I am a fan of the BBS LM. :)

Which gearbox does your Z have ?
I think it would be interesting for those that know the history of their car in the UK to have a poll to see how many genuine manuals there are and how many autos there 'were'. Geninue Manwell here. :)

On my journey home today I came up against this beauty
Yup, it's not sporty in the slightest. Looks very agricultural, although quite well built. Dunno why, but it reminds me of the interior of a high-grade tractor/JCB type thingy.

Anyone recognise this bloke? Caught him snatching my pies...
Legend! What's that gay little thing stuck to your ear? :wack:

- Which gearbox does your Z have ?
Most that tend to come into the UK are autos. Those that are already here take manuals from breakers, auto boxes rarely get bought and sold on here.- TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
Absolutely nothing wrong with that bumper mate. Nicer than the Veilside.- best colour for a Z
Yeah, bayside blue...hehe ;) - Which gearbox does your Z have ?
