not using a Z for a month or so
Don't start it up once in a while to leave to idle. WORST thing you can possibly do.

headlight panel choices
Certainly. There are very few vented nose panels that actually suit the Z. The nostril type are the must ungainly and unflattering. Smooth is much nicer. I'd sort that bonnet out too!

Well, I took this one off for you! Photos are not that great unfortunately. I was judging most of the day of the show.

Project V8 update
None of that I'm afraid. There was the most stunning Z06 powered S14a at Znationals. I'm trying to find the pics. I don't think I actually managed to take a pic of it.

Be interesting to know. The bovs will sell! Someone will always pay money for something that does nothing. :)- air filter set up
I'd junk the things, even in a manual. When using BOVs, the air is released into the atmosphere and this means that the space between the turbo compressor and the throttle bodies has to be regained and this causes a noticeable delay in boost pressure. Also, the ECU is programmed to expect the unused air to be recirculated back into the intake and if it doesn't arrive, then there is a momentary 'rich' running and this can cause hesitation. There is definately no performance gain from fitting BOVs. Infact the opposite.- air filter set up
I hate bovs for more reasons other than the fact that they sound awful. They are dumping metered air. Fine if you have stand alone management, but a pointless thing to fit to a stock engine. Did your car have BOVs fitted to it when it was an Auto? LOL, the won't work on an auto at all! A BOV will only operate when the accelerator pedal is released when running positive boost pressure! This doesn't happen on an auto.- air filter set up
PS, the nature of a filter is that it defuses the ambient air and as such deflects suddent air surges. Shutting a bonnet should not cause a sudden rush of air unless it's a bull shit filter.- air filter set up
Easiest way it through ConZult. But you can via multimeter. I think you take the signal from the middle wire and set the other probe to battery terminal. You should get a reading of about 0.44v. If it's out, you need to adjust until you get the correct output of around 0.44-0.48v. To adjust it, there are two small screws on the side, loosen those and turn it until you get the desired reading. If this has no effect on the voltage reading then you either have a duff sensor or cack wiring. I had to replace my TPS.- easy change o2 sensor?
Mine came out no problem at all. I was luckly. Would recommend getting genuine ones though. Or get these from AMS. Quality kit. http://amszstore.com/main/product_info.php?cPath=21_31&products_id=214- air filter set up
Sounds like TPS. You only really get filter problems when it's wet. The air won't 'shoot straight in'. It's drawn in by the engine and is metered by the MAF. Don't think your mechanic really knows what he's on about.- Help needed
How come you didn't send the turbos to a specialist?- Happy days
'Caroad'. LOL. Well done mate, yours is a tidy looking Z. Always nice when it flies through the MOT. Mine has been great. :D- Leather re-finishing. Anyone done this?
I've cleaned up my wheel in readiness for applying product. I guess take it slowely and use it sparingly and it should come out ok. Any tips?- Leather re-finishing. Anyone done this?
Wow! That's impressive shiznit. :duffer:- another noob just saying hello
Bloody hell you're under the thumb! LOL- Leather re-finishing. Anyone done this?
