I'd still do a compression check. If you've been driving it around ever since you've had it on over 15PSi, that's potentially a long time of driving going beyond the capabilities of the injectors.

Brillo pads and now this. Jeeze dude, you really gotta take a little more care. Hope you've not done any damage, but I totally agree with Legrath. I suspect you've already done damage, but if it's enough to be detrimental to engine health remains to be seen. Turn the boost right down to 14PSi which is very nice power for a stock engine. Check your boost hoses...and I'd also do a compression check to see if you have signs of any loss in compression.....just incase you have to prepare yourself.

Who said they could be? Of all the BMWs, the 8 series was one of my favourites. Followed by the old 635CSi and E30 M3.

As above! The 8 series is somewhat timeless and more exclusive.

Oh yes, the black UK TT. That's cool, I remember. They should be ok then. Yeah, a stock turbo can take about 16/17 PSi. Yours is an auto, so probably sightly less as they are a little smaller. So around the 16 mark. What plugs did you go for? Cool running NGKs?

I'd take the mileage with a pinch of salt. Removing cats basically can uncover previously unknown worn turbo seals. A lot of owners who've removed their cats have noticed the exhausts start to smoke. On a flip side, many who have, haven't reported any problems.

Pretty sure my Veilside is a 3" system. Not available anymore though unfortunately.

You took the cat off? Hope your turbos are good then. As for the auto, maybe it's time for a manual conversion. :)

Not quite true. Stock turbos can handle up to about 17PSi before they run out of efficiency. Stock injectors max out their duty cycle at 14.5PSi. If you want to up the boost past 14.5PSi with stock turbos, then you need uprated injectors.

Pretty sure they make a range of offsets. Wip the wheels off. Takes a few minutes. Stick to good quality products like Eibach and H&R rather than ebay stuff.

Shame the 99 front is going. Looks nice in the photos apart from the chrome stuff. Bomex front is not attractive. I do love the colour though. :cool:

Unless you're going to take the boost above 14.5PSi, then stock injectors are fine. If you do change the injectors, you'll need ANOTHER chip.
