  1. See you've edited the script, so deleted the pic. :)
  2. Finish it dagmanit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
  3. Blimey Mark! There's a name from the past! How are you? Not seen you post on here for eons! :)
  4. Nearly correct yes. Bodykits on the whole make the Z look cheesy and tacky. There's precious little on the market other than some of the stuff that it's impossible to get hold of such as Impul bumpers and the like that actually look nice with a quality finish. Only the Stillen bumper extensions and some of the Kaminari stuff are about the only things readily available that are complis-mentis. A nice Strosek such as gruntpa's are the only really heavily modified bodies I like...or some of the custom stuff.
  5. Sorry...bad day! :headvswall
  6. haha, other than going over there and paying in cash, maybe not. What was it you wanted?
  7. Yes, it's my friend Arnel's site. :) He and Kenny from Performance Nissan in Los Angeles run this. Both are good guys. I've been to their shop and it's heaven!
  8. Incorrect. Saz's never had a dragon on it. Just 'ZXextreme' (Duffer's business name) on the side.
  9. That was Soniazx, she's sold it and hasn't been on since May 09. Didn't look nice at all IMO.
  10. Better than this though... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=80462&highlight=jaguar
  11. Very nice! With new/refurbed roof trim and updated rear lights, that'll be a real peach of a car. Some spacers on the back wheels would also give it a more purposeful stance. Lovely car. :)
  12. Also check for seat bolster wear, pedal rubber wear, shifter wear....that indicates a high miler.
  13. Check for rust. Even if it's had welding. There are plenty of Zs out there with good bodies (although these are becoming more of a rarity), so don't plump for anything less. They rust around the back of the sills, the floor, the rear aches and the area below the filler cap. Also look inside the boot as they rust right on the very edge of the lip on the inside. Check for leaking main seals (around the front of the gearbox). If it smokes, it could be from a number of things. If it smokes on idle (blue or white) then it'll be turbos. If it smokes on rundown, then that'll be pistons. Intermittent smoking could be PCV related. You've mentioned the fan kicking in. The viscous van should engage from cold start immediately. That's the way to check if the viscous fan is working. Then also run to temp for electric rad fan. I wouldn't be so concerned with ECU fault codes as I would be for anything else. Faulty sensors and dirty contacts are very common in Z32s and aren't too much of a problem to rectify. There's a diagnostics switch on the ECU which is sited beneath the kick plate on the passenger side. You need to turn this on so that the ECU can give you the codes on the dash. Here's a link to a how2 ---> http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostic/diagnostic.html
  14. I did, but the frame just froze and gave a white screen. Maybe it's my shat-top doing a go-slow.
  15. There is a vid of it doing a 9 second quarter mile somewhere, but I can't locate it.
  16. This is a fantastic project. The chap that did this built his own gearbox, cut his own gears and fabricated the entire drivetrain himself. Some amazing engineering here. Old_zed and Jimmer will probably love this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TIdQFnUvCA Youtube embed language doesn't seem to work!! :(
  17. I think YB converted MK1s and MK2s are one of the best conversions out there. They weigh next to nothing, they look infinitely better than Sierra Sapphires and they'll be worth a lot more!
  18. I like both dammit! Hard decision mate. I like the metallic black as it looks much nicer in the sun. But I like solid black when it's overcast/night as it's a little more crisp. I think I'd go a metallic black.
  19. This is what I'd have. A YB powered MK1!
  20. Did you mix the same amount of hardener/activator in both applications?
  21. This was one of the books. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Modern-Engine-Tuning-Graham-Bell/dp/1859608663 This was the other. Both good reads. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turbochargers-HP-books-Hugh-MacInnes/dp/0895861356
  22. Prices are more expensive as you can't take part in any of their special deals unless you book more than 24hrs in advance. You get the regular fare price as you can't use any specials at that short of a notice.
  23. Diane. Lives in Warwick. Also Annabanana, LisaF, Lari (doesn't really post). Saz was banned, so was Letsdrift.
