I get the general feeling that the SW region is just way too big. The old car club I used to be a member of had a South Central region, covering Dorset, Hampshire & Wiltshire as well as a South West region which covered Cornwall, Devon & Somerset.

Sorry pal, I ain't gonna lie to you. Personally, I think it looks dreadful. Quite chavy in fact. Sorry pal. :( I also don't understand people's fascination with fake carbon, or the general 'carbon look'. On some cars, a carbon bonnet looks good. But very rarely. Most tend to fit carbon panels, not because of their weight saving properties, but 'because it's carbon innit'.

£3k won't get you a nice one I don't think. NA maybe. But I'd look at spending £4k+ on something as mint and as tidy as you can find. A good one is always worth it's money. Don't be tempted to buy the cheapest one, after all, it's not a Ford Fiesta. @ 20, I'd start getting some insurance quotes first. It's gonna cost you quite a bit to insure.

Ok, so I have a few days off, it's not raining and the roads are free from salt/grit. Took the zed out for a spin. For the first, maybe 1/2 a mile, the gearbox sounded like it was totally shot, but suddenly it cleared up. Now, it does crunch in second when it's cold, other than that, it's a nice gearchange. Does it sound like it needs some replacement oil?

I thought about getting lexarse lights for my garage just to bling it up a bit! ;) Chequer plate is fine...but soooooo doesn't belong in the inside of a friggin' automobile!
