My highest bill was around the £200 mark. Mobile phones are the biggest waste of money I think there is. I hate the things to be honest although dunno what I'd do without one. Ring tones, different gadgets and what not annoy the piss out of me. I'd be quite happy with one of those old bricks if it weren't so big. I shall be binning mine when the contract runs out and will just resort to abusing my company mobile.

I really can't stand the current MR2. Not only is it a really ugly car, but it looks so cheap. The wheels look like they were bought from HellFrauds. Such a shame as the MK2 MR2 was, and still is, a nice looking purposful, non-ghey looking car. I'd go nearly as far as to say this is currently one of the nastiest looking Roadsters ever built.

Ford KA and KA convertible are not just vile looking cars, they are the most girlie cars every built. Although, suprisingly, they are fun to thrash around. KA cabrio looks like a Rabbit..... Other girlie cars include the new Tigra which although has a nice folding roof, is a horrid looking car. Also, the Mini Cabriolet which is a hideos creations. Vile vile vile car. I don't really like the hard top Mini, but this canvas crapper is just the pits. Thie Shitroen Pluriel is not just girlie, bit even more ugly than the Micra convertible. Micra cabrio...looks as bad as the Pluriel. The rather 'rare' Corsa Cabrio.....again, pretty grim. I'm ashamed to say I've owned 2 convertibles and shall never own another. I guess it was a 'phase' I went through. T-Tops are as far as I'll go which I find, on the right car, ubber cool.

Love the car over all although find the grille teeth in the front not to my liking and the rear styling reminds me of a dalek. Love the profile, the colour is ace and the wheels give me the horn! :)

I know that none of the above are supercars. I'm comparing figures to cars that have supercar performance. The 300ZX was heralded as Japan's first supercar. What actually determins a supercar? Price tag? Peformance? Styling? Combination?

Just having a browse through some specs for some fast new metal and comparing them to the zed. Right, the zed is getting on a bit in years although its performance is still considered good compared to current fast cars. But I wonder how long this will last? IE, when the M3 originally came out in E30 guise, it came with a 2.2 16v 195bhp engine being replaced with a 235bhp 2.5 Then it was considered almost a semi super car....the Astra VXR has more power now which is a decent 'hot hatch', something that was given to the rather 'slow' MK1 Golf GTi. So is the old M3 still that good? Looking on a bit further, the current M3 has around 350bhp. The new one I'll suspect having close to 400bhp (and darn right hideous)....but is the M3 considered a super car or is it considered a GT? The Zed originally was classed as Japan's first supercar, but now it's considered a GT? The new Saab V6 turbo / Vectra VXR share a new 3.2 V6 turbo unit producing 250bhp. Although still short of the zed, as with a lot of things Vauxhall, tuning accessories will have it close to 300bhp fairly easily and relatively quicly. Does the Zed just then become an old Japanise coupe? I'd like to think that cars also hold status and thus, newer more powerful 'lesser' cars will not have this status. ..........just thoughts for the day........

Xmas as always was the biggest anti-climax of the year, could quite happily live without it and not miss it. I get 2.5 million times more excited when I take the zed out.....which I took out over xmas. Got caught out when I realised the gritters had been out, so drove it home at 5mph, jet washed it, dried it and put it back in the garage with the fan heater on. Not coming out now until I can go out on the dry roads with NO salt and NO grit. :)

Yup, I've got my zed out at the moment. Unfortunetly, I got caught short yesterday as the gritters came out. Took it straight home. Jetwashed it today. Going in the garage tonight. Hate the snow/ice/frost. Would sooner it rain.

Yup, I know so as 2 friends have had them done. Nope, they usually go for around £2k for a nice one. Slightly more for a Cavalier Turbo. Crap ones go for next to nothing.

No, it's just some of the crap you're spouting is hilarious!! :rofl: Yes they are cheap to maintain. It's an XE with a turbo on it, very little on those is expensive. The TX box is the most costly thing to replace and these can be reconditioned for under £500. The C20LETs are good strong engines in standard forum. Even with mild boost/fuel upgrades, they aren't bad. Trouble is, they are a chav car now and people are trying to get these engines up over 300bhp....at which point they just turn to chocolate. The rest is just Cavalier stuff. Bottom arms are about £12, fuel pumps are about £50. Cheap as chips.

Not keen on aftermarket grilles at all, but that car looks very very sexy. Nice work! :)

Oh my 'good'???? Seen/heard those before AWFUL! I was in Bristol last night waiting at a set of lights and heard this really weird sound. Looked behind me and couldn't see anything. Youngish lad in a car I couldn't quite see. As we pulled away the noise erupted again. To my glee, I realised that he'd fitted a fake dump valve to this car and started laughing uncontrollably. I slowed right down to try and get him to drove past. He kept jabbing the accelerator. This noise kept appearing again and again. Boy it sounds absolutely hilarious. I look over and he was looking over acting all smooth and cool in his fake turbo charged yogurt pot. It was an N reg Calibra with a mix match of distasteful body kit in a multitude of colours, car's original colour was light blue if anyone's seen it about. Huge Jimmy Hill style front bumper and miserable wheels. You'd think it was a rotten G reg 8v judging by the state it was in.

Sorry, I'd sooner have have a Calibra Turbo than a Fiat Coupe....about as reliable as a politician's word and no quicker than Calibras. 2 friends of mine have them. a 20V T and a 16v T. Whilst being reasonable cars, between them, they've gotten through 8 engines....which I swear are made from chocolate. Imprezza is more of a chav wagon than Cavalibras, although have far superior mechanicals. I have never and well never see people's fascination for the S13. They are more bland than Toyota Paseos. Although I guess it's their cheap drift wagon status that gives them their appeal.

Time to get rid of the Paxo me thinks and time to get something with less of an image problem and a bit more class. Perodua Nippa perhaps.... :rofl: ;)

Meastro Turbos are about 40bhp down....if you can even find one that hasn't turned back into the ferrous ore from wence it came! :rofl:

Not at all, biggest load of crap I've ever heard IMHO. I've driven plenty of Cavalibra Turbos to know that these don't bend and buckle either. Friend of mine has an Astra GTE with a C20LET in it and it has no problems with the chassis and it doesn't even have a sub frame. Yeah it's mad and struggles to put the power down, but to twist the chassis??? Go and pull the other one! :rofl: Yeah it's based on the Cavalier, but the Cavalier although still a piss poor mass produced rep-mobile is far better built and has much better mechanicals than ANY Rover shite.

I see friends and family at all times of the year. Makes no odds what so ever. Yeah, it's once a year that all this disgusting amounts of money gets spent and food gets wasted, yet it's 365 days a year that people are starving in the world. On average an entire bin bag full of food gets thrown away by EVERY single household in the UK alone on xmas day. It's just the proportions that **** me off. I'm not religious either so Xmas means nothing to me what so ever. Afterall, it is a religious festival. Although now, it's a fully fledged pagan festival to the money Gods.
