  1. If you were on someone's ignore list, then not even see this thread!
  2. Oh ****in hell man. That's terrible, I had no idea he was ill. Needless to say this happened at the worst time of the year. Gutted for you pal. We're all here for support though.
  3. Aye, but it's not my house to do that with.
  4. Calibra Turbo is actually German, it's build and designed there ;) Agree GT-4s are far superior.
  5. Someone was mentioning Rover dashboards being nicer than Calibras....I think not! Whilst neither are sterling peices of design, the Rover dash is a hateful creation. Also with the Calibra, you get inboard computer and heater leather.
  6. Yeah, it's not difficult to make the TX box switchable. You need to keep an eye on the tyres even more so then as you'll be getting less rear tyre wear. You need to keep the tyres all the same size and wear rating.
  7. I wish I had a jet wash. Don't have an outside/screw on tap though. Real shame as I do want one. :(
  8. That came up well. Any close ups of your front bumper?
  9. Nope, as I've said, the F28's are good, it's the TX boxes that need to be kept an eye on. They only bust because people don't replace the fluid and don't follow manufacurers guidelines with respect to tyres, lower their car too excess or fit stupid wheels.
  10. Exactly. I am deffo not a Scrooge, just find the whole Xmas thing an out of propotion waste of space. Also, if you don't like it, you still have to put up with it.
  11. No, the line is staying. Will look too blobby IMHO. Looks nice, but I don't want a car full of filler and I do still want to retain all the original lines of the zed...which is why I bought. :)
  12. Xmas winds me up really badly. All the expectation and being forced to be happy and enjoy it. Happyness and enjoyment come naturally and I just can't stand this expectation that YOU WILL ENJOY IT CAUSE IT'S CHRISTMAS.
  13. ME! I HATE it!!!! Christmas is a ****ing waste of time and money. It sucks!. A yearly ritual that you have to endure time after time....it's not just one day of the year, it's a 3 month mince!..... ...before ANYONE starts thinking I'm a Scrooge, I'd love to see the disgusting amounts of money spent on rubbish each year donated to charity. I've asked anyone who's wanting to get me something for xmas this year to use that value and donate it to charity. There's not much to like about it, the food, the expense, the awful music, the weather, the hype and the waste are all in crap. I can get time off, see my mates and get drunk at any time of the year. The true meaning of xmas isn't actually to do that though is it. It's a religious festival, of which only about half the population take part in...as a religious festival.
  14. Mmmmm, maybe. I've seen pin strips fitted to cars....and badly. I want the factory look once mine have been sprayed.
  15. Now, I hate xmas food as well as xmas, so I doubt I'll be one of these chaps that puts on a stone over chrimbo, but my gym shuts for nearly 2 weeks. Am I gonna be the only person who'll end up going out for a run on Xmas morning?
  16. Thanks Rich! Looks great, deffo something I'll be doing. Will have to try and get that pin stripe from Nissan. Want the exact same colour etc.
  17. He has spinners mate, so you'll need to be patient with him. ;)
  18. That bumper is actually different to the blue one. More has been cut out, which is probably why it looks out of proportion.
  19. Just doesn't look right on that at all IMHO. :(
  20. Right, so I'm planning on taking my car to a place in Plymouth who specialise in pearl paints to redo the tailgate and rear bumper. Now, I've always disliked that awful 'school chair' finish on the bumpers. so as well as having the rear bumper resprayed, I am going to get this finish totally smoothed off. Also want to get the bottom of the front bumper smoothed of this finish too and sprayed. Has anyone done this? The bumpers are pretty thick, so sanding the finish off is not an issue, I'd just like to see a car with them done...standard bumpers I mean. Rear especially. Ta
  21. Haven't had any yet. I have no time for xmas or people reminding me of it by singing on my doorstep.
  22. ....I'd sooner have a Cavalier Turbo than a Calibra Turbo. Mechanically identical but the Cavalier is a real sleeper. Good ones are actually a very nice drive.
  23. F28 6 speed boxes are no more complex than the N/A F20 and F16. It's just the TX box that can go faulty. The gearboxes are pretty decent. S13's IMHO are very bland, S14s are lovely though.
  24. Have no idea where you got that hilarious peice of information! They are only 200bhp and have 4x4
  25. TX boxes cost about half that to be reconditioned. You don't like the dash in the Calibra....have you seen the geriatric tired looking thing in the Rover then? One of the worst dashboards ever made IMHO.
