Was it this? 911 Targa has a 3.6 litre engine producing about 315bhp
  3. Bird, why is your username 'bird'? Second name is it?

Would make small builds in the boot recesses and fit a sub each side.
  5. Nope, I can quite happily agree with legrath, that I have a very very good condition one and take great care with it...the thought of rust makes me shudder more than replacing the engine.....
  6. .....that's what I thought. Thanks for reassuring me. Just gotta get my ass into gear and fit this new engine. :)
  7. Requires removal of duff engine and refitment of new one. Some could say, more work than Bird's? Plus new Hicas arms, rear bushes, tyres, pads and and caliper rebuild? Discuss.
  8. V12? Is that a converted truck engine?
  9. Why don't you just get the problem diagnosed before you make any rash decisions. Why sell a set of £1000 rims if it could be a £30 part?
  10. To keep fat?
  11. ....tell ya what though, MPG is not good on it and it's a diesel. I guess it's because it's new and needs running in. Hope the consumption goes up as it's kinda worrying,
  12. My brand new Astra's covered nearly 1000 miles and I've had it just over a week, I guess I spend about £250 per month on fuel. Awful isn't it. I'd have nice amounts of disposable income if I didn't have to drive to so far to work,

Probably just some usual monstrosity....might be a butchered Zed...?
  14. ....and you're wanting to break a Zed when you don't even know what's wrong with it?????
  15. How much oil? It's ok for there to be a small amount. You may find it's the PCV valves in which case, scrapping the car is preposterous.
  16. Half the work of an engine rebuilt. Engine's still gotta come out.
  17. How long's a peice of string? Depends what you want doing and what state the current engine is in. I couldn't be bothered with all that, so went and bought another engine.
  18. Christ, rust on an L reg one? Jesus, confirms the reason why I bought JDM.
  19. Glenn's pretty clued up on it all. I go to the gym...but haven't been for about a month now. Very lame of me I know but just don't have much time at the mo.
  20. Christ, get it checked out. If it's something simple, then you're throwing a working car down the pan in effect. Would still be cheaper to replace bits than buy another zed where the problem may happen again.
  21. Looks like there's a black Gen 4 Chevy Camaro parked next to yours. Was a car I was considering buying instead of the Zed.
  22. Hey! I used to live in Southampton. Was at uni there too. Welcome. :)
  23. Right, wanting to make some more money. Not because of the Zed, but because I want to do things other than JUST fixing the Zed. Now, currently, I have a job I really enjoy. Have a bit of free time in the evenings and at weekends. Have just got in contact with the boss of the company I used to work for. Trying to negotiate a bit of weekend and evening work. Not a huge amount and will most likely be able to work from home. Few hours a night maybe and a few hours at weekends. Anyone here have 2 jobs?
