New wheels, decisions, decisions
New ones. Need a really aggressive dish on Zeds with wide arch kits I find. Gives them far more road presence. I'd say go for a slightly deeper dish rim than the new ones. IE, a flatter thicker spoke with a larger dish.

Spraying
Have you offered the bumper up to the car though for a trial fit? On the whole, most fibreglass bumpers have an absolutely dreadful fit and it may require trimming before giving a nice fit. In some cases, you may need to pad out the base of the wings so that the contour follows that of the bumper...remember fibreglass does not bend! Check the gel coat is in good condition. If it is, a light rub down is all that's necessary. Gel coats are usually a shiney surface and you need to burr it up a bit. Get some 40 grit on there. Sand it until all the shine has gone so that you get an even matt finish. Don't sand too hard as you'll go through the gel coat. Be warned if you leave any glossy sections then the paint will not stick and is very likely to peel later. Equally you can not prepare the surface using a scotch pad or the paint is also likely to peel. If these products are to be painted using cellulose paints then you will require a self etch primer prior to your normal primer to help adhesion. If it is to be painted using modern 2 pack paints then plasticiser and adhesion promoters are not required, provided you use a 2 pack primer suitable for use on fibreglass, and provided that it is sanded very thoroughly. Paint only peels from fibreglass if it has not been correctly sanded or cleaned!!!

poor fuel economy
If you set it to 140, then yeah sure! ;)

poor fuel economy
I think the Zed is pretty decent on a long run. On my recent trip to France, I think I spent about £80 on fuel and that took me from Glastonbury to Portsmouth (100miles), LeHavre to just north of LeMans(100 miles) and then back again (another 200miles). Plus another 50 or so miles pottering around. I was driving like an 85 year old for most of it though, but still, good MPG can be achieved.

10J Wheels - Tyre Advice
On 10J you really want to be running 285 minimum. I've got 265s on my 9.5J and they are already a 'little' stretched. When I replace them I'm going for 285s.

There are 5 hoses, 2 per valve. 1 from valve to hard pipe, then one from hard pipe to central hardpipe..both sides. They route round the back and join up with a central central hose which is at the back of the engine in the middle.
-
Eliza Is Smoking!!
...it's the hoses that can be a biatch to do.

Eliza Is Smoking!!
They are towards the back of the plenum either side underneath the pain intakes.

Do a compression test anyway, just to make sure. Doesn't take long and could save you the cost of dropping the gearbox if the engine needs attention as the lot will have to be dropped anyway.

Should be red "wine"...guess I got too excited and posted it too quickly...can't force these things.

I think we should start another thread. Female Z owner's cleavage. Would certainly make most people's Fridays!

As has been mentioned, the main seal sounds like it has gone. Gearbox/ clutch/flywheel off for that one. It's old and hard but you may have a slight build up of crank case pressure to make it finally go...replace PCVs, if that doesn't solve it, get the compression tested...as a matter of course. As if it's something more terminal and you replace the main seal, then something big has got to come out again...worst case scenario etc....so maybe check the compression anyway before doing anything other than PCVs/hoses.

Next meet?
I'll most likely just meet you there as I store my Z about 5 miles away from Cheddar.

You've thought about this too much maybe. Why, are you thinking of having a meat and two veg attached and wondering if it'll invalidate your insurance? ;)

Unfortunately, the worst ones are the ones that stick in your mind. Same goes for those irritating M&S ones..."It's not just a bottle of red win, it's the blood oozing from my anus as I listen to this ****ing advert all over again"

All I'm going to say is, that this is the very worst advert on TV at the moment. :headvswal

Do people just 'not get' how wide the Zed is?
I've had mine a year nearly. But since the last 6 months of ownership, I've hardly driven it, it's like being a Zed virgin all over again.
