  1. Not quite what I'm after Ian, :) a normal LWB tranny would be great. But they're just a little over budget
  2. Very good point, but to get a transit for around the £500 mark that's not rotted will be very difficult. A transit would be ideal to be honest. - - - Updated - - - Belove me I would LOVE a transporter. But I'm after a cheap project mate. GLWS though
  3. I'm winning a bid on a transit too rofl: don't know what the Mrs would say if I rocked up with a LWB transit and a Toyota lucida  that would make 5 cars in the house hold hahaha
  4. Haha! Brilliant. Lee is Monday any good for you? I'm free Tuesday but the ds3 is going back to budgen because they can't seem to sort the brakes out which is starting to piss me off. 3 times they've had the car to sort the brakes and 3 times they've failed grrrrr
  5. Cheers for the heads up Dave. I don't think a bongo is on the cards anyway due to cost. Thanks pig I have had a look at them and after careful consideration I will be looking more into vans now. I'm currently winning a bid on a lucida on ebay. but I'm also looking at: transit LWB high top nissan vanette Vw t 25 or 35 I can't remember lol
  6. unbelievable! Fantastic story. But Ian. .... are you planning on opening a zed museum? ? You're collecting them pretty fast.
  7. If I see a zed, let alone work on one that's not mine, then I'll end up buying one. Something I cannot afford to do  Thanks for the generous offer

  9. Right I should defiantly have been more clear in my post, many thanks for all the suggestions. BUT I'm after something I can turn into a campervan. I.e a Lucida, Previa renult master I've looked at the above including your range rover Dean, but it just won't work I'm afraid. So let's try again  anyone have any other suggestions or any vans or MPV's that are suitable. Apologies for the confusion, Cheers. Adam

  13. The plan to buy a project zed is being shelved for now. Reason being we do a lot of camping and I'd like something big, vulgar and fun :) Must meet a couple of requirements though No rust , I.e sills and arches. I don't mind some surface rust but nothing that would be considered an advisory on an MOT Must have mot so I can drive it away legally. Must be big, 7 seats sort of size. Not that ill defiantly be keeping the seats In there I'm winning a big on a toyota estima at the moment. How horrible are they!! but cheap and fun is what I'm after! I've looked at the following: Mitsubishi shogun Toyota prevai/estima/lucida Mercedes Vito Mazda bongo The Mazda and the merc are a little out of my price range really I'm looking at no more than £500, it is a project buy after all so I'm not expecting mint. Feel free to add to my list of potentials. Nissan terrano I like too but they seem to fetch big cash So if you have something similar or know of one then let me know :) Cheers  - - - Updated - - - Can a mod fix my fantastic spelling on the thread title please

  16. I'll dig something up when I get a min :)
  17. The saying, "if you go into the back of someone then it's your fault" has now been abolished so don't let them tell you that. Good luck with it
  18. Saw you heading down Whitchurch road as i was on the way to work. Was it you lee? In another zed
  19. I saw your zed the other day on a transporter heading up towards lees place. Was supposed to text him about it. Looked nasty. Such a shame..

So I'm lookingto buy and restore one to give to him. Seen one on car and classic for £495... BARGAIN  anyway. If by some kind of miracle any of you now of one being sold then let me know. Looking for something cheap and cheerful really. Sub £600 maybe a little more for an ok one.
