  1. Lol, didn't expect that!!
  2. Welcome to the forum new user, I'm sure you'll have a great time here, theres lots of great people.
  3. Yep, just big enough for a Zed going at full felt out of Quarry Corner.....backwards lol!!
  4. Yup, lessons learnt eh?!! Like your sig by the way. Anyone who wants to see the exciting results of last year, do a search for castle combe and look for my threads!
  5. Haha was wondering that myself!!
  6. http://www.ultimatejapcars.co.uk/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=36&t=15445&st=0#entry205923 Just thought I'd post this, Castle Combe trackday at ultimatejapcars.co.uk. Last year was awesome. You get the track all day and with hardly any cars on it at the same time. You can try a bit of drifting and stuff as well because there's so few cars there. If anyone is interested let me know or go on the site and speak to smiffad, he's a member here I think. I don't know if I can afford it this year but I'm hoping.
  7. No probs mate. Only a guess, but there's other things in there as well if it doesnt help. Look under the trouble diagnosis in the same chapter page 42 and it lists a load of symptons. Dave
  8. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi page 89 of engine fuel and emissions. Maybe AAC valve or IAS clogged.
  9. Yep, I went into waitrose across the little river, came back and had two attendents all over the Zed! There was actually a car on the white line of the bay next to me which forced me to park over two bays, which I do anyhow mind. I explained this to the attendent and he agreed and said he saw the current car just come in to the car park, and that he'd make a note so I could write to them. Didn't help though, the council said I should have parked somewhere else as there were loads of spaces. Seems to me that if there's loads of spaces why bother doing someone for taking up two, but there you go :( . Anyhow its always nice to have a new phot of the Zed, I'm going to write to the council and ask to get a colour copy of it haha, its on their website in colour but I couldn't get it to show me in large format as the site was playing up.
  10. Kicked off the bidding for you matey. Maybe I'll get a cheap porsche!
  11. Ha ha, thats about right!! See the other thread '£30 parking fine' Dab1. Oh the joy of zed ownership!
  12. Wow, a Zed owner driving another car and saying it drinks fuel is quite a statement as well!
  13. Have fun!
  14. Well I used to agree with you but now I've got a small dent and did have white paint on what was an immaculate Zed after a barsteward in a tranny thought he would bounce his door off it. So now I make a point of taking 2 spaces as long as there are plenty of spares. If not I park somewhere else. Not doing any harm to anyone, you can see it a half empty car park. Not particuarly p*ssed with the ticket by the way, I consider the risk worth while to not get more dents in zed. I just thought it was a funny picture lol!
  15. I always park my Zed in two parking spaces since a knobber in a tranny van decided to bounce his door off the Zed. I never knew they operated parking attendents in this car-park in Tonbridge. Ended up with a parking fine Doh. Can't see what there problem is though, perfect Zed parking if you ask me? Oh well £30 is less than what it would cost to repare damage from another tranny van door.
  16. ? I thought they wern't flying the concordes any more??! Nice Zed though.
  17. If the MAF is broken you can just disconnect it and it will run in safety mode under 2.5k, which wont do any harm in itself. Your car has so many other issues though that you really should just 'break down' a few miles from your house and get the AA to take it to zedworld for you.
  18. Don't think that it'll do me any help making a complaint, other than to make me noticed! I need to blend into the background driving with 9pts! Its obvious I've got a history of speeding (learnt my lesson the hard way, apart from the odd meet :) I drive a lot slower now as I can't afford to lose my licence ). I used to have a lot of respect for police as I knew what it was like working in uniform, but after the experiences I've had since leaving the forces I just think the majority act like t*ssers and don't do the good ones any favours.
  19. Def agree with greg mate, looks very much like PCV valves. That'll save you a grand hopefully!
  20. TonyC swapped my car with the guy I got it from for an Evo (crazy bugger, knew he'd come back to Zeds!). :hyper:
  21. Was just driving down to the south coast for a surf in the missus VW golf, prob cruising just under 50mph. Went through a couple of villages where the limit went to 40mph and a traffic cop was on a junction. I slowed down to make sure I didn't get caught speeding and he saw it and followed me. Stayed up my arse for 10 bloody miles until he decided to put the blue lights on. Tried to make me admit I was speeding which obviously I didn't, then gave me a producer. Took great pride telling me how lucky I was that he didn't clock my speed and that he would have made sure I lost my licence (9 pts already, yes I know). I feel so much better knowing these people are policing our roads. Going to get rid of the insurance and licence though as its cheaper to pay the fine the courts would have handed out if I'd been done for driving with no insurance or licence, in a stolen car with the owners body in the boot, obviously.
  22. Thats part of the issue though mate. They wern't done for speeding, they were done because they were side by side and racing/about to race. Its quite obviously at least a semi-organised thing in the area amongst enthusiasts. I'd imagine its being cracked down on by the police and they are making an example. I'm not saying it should be allowed, but there's gaping holes in the law when a guy with no licence, no insurance, someone elses car/bike gets off with a couple hundred quid fine and a slap on the wrist. Where as this lad who is your average joe with a missus and hard worked for job decides to have a race and loses everything. I don't know the area but I'd imagine its out of the way and late at night, not that that is necessarily an excuse. It just seems harsh that as usual otherwise good citizens can loose everthing whereas people who are blatently illegal have nothing to loose and get away with it. I'm sure it would be different if the racers knocked someone over but there you go. My missus had a crash, the car was wrote off completely. She luckily wasn't badly injured apart from shock. They knew who the person was, told the police where they live, everything. The police did nothing because the other driver had no insurance !! Where as I could go out to a deserted road for a little fun in the zed with some others and loose my licence, my job, feckin everything.
  23. OMG! Thats harsh. He's going to loose everthing for a 10sec race. The guy before him in court took someone elses bike, had no licence and thus no insurance, and got caught at 120mph and got a 28day ban (hasn't got a licence anyhow) and a couple of hundred quid fine! The guy after him similar. Un-****ing-real You might as well just drive without a licence or insurance anyhow, its much cheaper just a few hundred quid when you get caught.
  24. Good vid Tony, wish I'd been there!
  25. I bloody hate it!! get some 'edumacation'. It doesn't make sense? I can understand how you get those words on a phone as its awkward to type but it must be harder to type like that on a keyboard than it is to type in proper english. Anyhow I'm cornish, why can't we have a cornish forum? Mebyan Kernow!!! (Free Cornwall!! haha load of old twoddle!!) Foreigners out, well scousers and mancs out of Newquay anyhow, emmetts go home!!!! Cornwall for the cornish!! Bring back in-breeding!!!!!!! :mac1: :nelson: :D :D
